Big Sean should diss Joe though. He called his album trash without even listening to it. Got people online calling Joe honest for saying it too lol

Big Sean's album is super trash though.

Joe said a few times he didn't hear the Em album and that the single was trash. Then he said he finally heard it leaving the hospital or something but only got a few songs in because Rory changed it or some ****. So he never trashed the album, he trashed that second single though.

It's disturbing how grown adults are so enamored with celebrities. Dude was a podcaster who talked a good game, nothing more.

I don't think dudes have lived enough where they haven't run in to dudes who talk a lot. Then you realize, it's just talk. Dude in jail is still just talking. It's a con, he might even believe it and convinced themselves. They tell you everything you should be doing in your life, but don't follow it in their own.

Dude is in jail thinking he's better than the other inmates and has more self-awareness, because he read a couple of books. Look at the opportunities he had for legit money. And the reason he lost it all. Who is the bigger fool?

I'm a huge Kendrick fan but Lupe is right Kendricks lyricism isn't on par with cats like him, Hov, Royce, 3K in terms of metaphors and entendres. However he's elite at story telling, at painting a picture in rhymes, at provoking thought & feelings while spitting.

Lupe wasn't wrong for saying that at all, but i do think he may have a lil problem with Kendrick because Kendrick is what Lupe was on path to be. Lupe's first two projects were extremely lyrical but still able to draw in casual listeners w/o having to bend to mainstream media. Then between label disputes & toying around artistically the music just seemed to lose that vibe.

Example Tetsou & Youth is a phenomenal album, but you literally gotta study that **** to get a lot of the messages & bars. it's a legit project to unveil the artistry. As opposed to Damn which also has A lot of deeper meanings & concepts, but even at face value fans can just enjoy the music. Over time Lupe just hasn't been interested in that aspect.

I feel the same way about Lupe that I feel about Cole.

The goal of music is to entertain. If you aren't entertaining me, I don't really have a desire to listen to your album multiple times.

I personally do, but i have to be in a mood to do it. It's really amazing to me how someone can hide things in plain song and have so many different meanings behind it. it's literally lyrical exercise & mind gymnastics.
