Some of y'all trying to rewrite history and I've seen y'all do this too many times with Wayne.
Block Is Hot was not a huge success or a fan favorite. That album was trash and the singles had who on it? Juvie and BG because they were the biggest artists.
Lights Out (my favorite Wayne album) went gold and the biggest single was with the entire Cash Money roster.
500 Degreez trash album, this was the album that everyone thought Cash Money was over. TQ and Mannie saved that single, made it hot.
Still Fly drops, Mannie saves Cash Money and keeps them afloat
Wayne starts the squad tapes and they start bubbling like crazy.
Wayne is caught making out with men, Juvie disses him on 600 Degreez (don't think this album was sold anywhere outside of the south
Wayne's mixtapes start to blow up and all of the sudden he's a star.
I forgot about that "Get Something" song, that **** was T R A SH
I've been a HUGE Mannie Fresh fan since 98. His verses, **** talking, intros and beats. I was PRAYING for a Mannie album. Then he drops that trash, that I bought too. SMH, wish his solo came out in 98-99.

This is one of the most profound peek behind-the-curtains digs on the music industry I've come across in a while. And this is a guy who reached the TOP of the mountain in the industry at one point.
I seriously recommend watching the whole thing. He pretty much touches every topic we've been discussing about industry schematics...even touches on Chance at the tail end.
