Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

You're right ... but I feel like Pac was so raw ... like some of his songs just hit the soul, without having to talk about the glamour or money.

Biggie flow and delivery though .....

But again, that's how I feel. Look at how much content Pac had compare to biggie.
Right. That’s why I can’t do it. There’s compelling points for both. Pac was def pure uncut emotion. He struck a different chord with people. I feel like BIG was a lot of flash because of Puff’s influence, but when you go through his lyrics and dig, he had a lot to say too. Pac’s influence was more militant. The way he grew up and the structure his mother provided around his culture and identity is something that most people don’t get. That’s really what made Pac different.

I can’t do it tho. I just sit back and revel at what these dudes were doing at such a young age. I just wish we could have got their full runs.

I know what you mean.

I personally favored Biggie for years, but after countless hours listening to both and just the way Pac emotions, raw lyrics and vibe and catalog hit ... i started to favored Pac. I do think Biggie had a smoother flow and better delivery but impact .. i feel like if Pac was still alive he would of have had an inpact in life beyond what anyone in this genre has ever had.

Thuggers music is being missed af. I just heard go crazy a minute ago, bruh skates on everything. I wish him the best with trial, losing his music is a huge blow to today’s sound. Slime & B is a modern classic. Shout out the the Slimes N Dimes graffiti tagged up on 85N overpasses throughout downtown Atlanta.

Figured might as well post here

Hutch (hutch jewelry Detroit) attorney wrote himself into his will then had him killed . INSANE
Crazy! We all was sure one of the young pandemic scammers put the hit out because he cooperated with the feds and gave up the tapes/paperwork sand was supposed to go to court allegedly soon. Never would’ve guessed it.

This was bound to happen for real. Music is madd easy to make, so everyone’s making the type of **** they like.

Joints want balance. They’re trying to shake *** and pop **** to this ice spice/glo rilla stuff while they’re at brunch, and still shoot finger guns when the Future/Gucci/Meek trap **** plays. Not mad at it. Here we are.
Major insult to lump in Glorilla with Ice Spice :lol

You know what I mean. The joints want to be out at brunch, hookah in hand, screaming “let’s goooooo” and “you thought i was feeling you” at the top of their lungs.

The same ones who be drunk off mimosas and texting their dude “you up?” at 2:37PM on a sunday afternoon. :lol
