I’m not saying he’s wrong but a criminal record doesn’t go away. Someone like King can come back from it because of his name and family but the average youngin ain’t coming back from a felony conviction and will have to wear it forever. It’s not good advice to fathers of young men who are too immature to understand what a mistake and conviction can do to you for life.

Damn. That’s gotta be a tough pill to swallow as a parent. Knowing you escaped the street ****, and worked hard to give your kids a better life than what you had, only for them to be out there wildin. Unnecessarily wildin at that.

Can’t imagine having to see my kid on the path of destruction and knowing there’s not much else I can do as a dad.

My brother going thru this right now w/his son doing life w/o parole cause he decided to break into a house with friends and someone ended up getting killed… My bro did 7 in Angola came home started businesses and is doing well for himself,tried everything he could to steer his boy away from the streets. You can be the best parent in the world ,sometimes it ain’t much you can do when something has a strong influence over them.

While this is very true and I get some of the points TI is making if King is still living at his mother and father’s house they can be liable for King’s action. Meaning a search warrant can be gotten depending on the crime or potential future crimes King does. I’m sure TI and his wife don’t want local police agents busting down his door because of King’s reckless behavior.

Also, it’s quite possible King is on the path to jail or even worse yet….death. Kids these days push it to the limit and some kids and parents don’t fully grasp the path of destruction their kids are on until it’s too late and they end of burying their child. With that being said I hope TI or even parents like him convey more of a sense of urgency regard their child’s welfare.
