I think we can all agree that the snap era was a black eye for the south in general. My question is are we gonna hold NY drill aka hookah mursick in the same regard?
People had a good time listening to music. How is that a black eye?I think we can all agree that the snap era was a black eye for the south in general. My question is are we gonna hold NY drill aka hookah mursick in the same regard?

The Snap Era was an amazing time for the south. The only black eye I can think of is when them West Coast cats was jerking in skinny jeans. Glad that movement crashed and burned with a quickness.I think we can all agree that the snap era was a black eye for the south in general. My favorite joint is Dope Boy Magic.Couple Grand is Joc HARDEST song
I was speaking more so from the perspective that cats are getting killed just because they are rappers. Shoot em up and stab em up tunes are the equivalent to war cries. Historically they were specifically only used before a battle or during war time. to mentally and spiritually prepare warriors, soldiers and troops. They were pumped with that energy which they would later dispel while fighting. In present case, some cats listen to that type of music before going to do some kind of sport and it gets them pump and ready to exert that energy, but on your day to day just moving about doing normal activities, it's not good for your mental to ingest that constantly. You dudes get defensive about rap, but a lot of it is problematic and it's beyond just a representation of the communities.
Top Gun was a recruiting tool for the Navy.
Rap has been a recruiting tool for gangs and negative ****, because too much of it glamorizes and normalizes the ills in our community.
Juelz mentioned how dudes have opps and they don't even know why they're opps. They're somebody else's opps.
Polo G has to be one of the most disappointing rappers in a minute (and people are slowly starting to notice).
Started off with hella potential and a dope debut album. Been phony, and non creative ever since.
Buggin calling Snap Era a black eye to the South, most of us from the South truly appreciated it. That was a fun period for us.
Shawty Lo came out of that era.
He’s taken the path of least resistance to the bag, just like Moneybagg YoPolo G has to be one of the most disappointing rappers in a minute (and people are slowly starting to notice).

Snap gets the bad rap, because of the goofy dances attached to it.
Alotta party/catchy music can be “goofy” in any time tho, but they serve a purpose….You go out now and hear whole songs created from or about memes …I just enjoy it when I’m out in the mix n listen to all types of other **** when I’m not turning upSnap music was always wack and goofy to me. Yeah people partied to it. People party to anything that's catchy.
What dance craze/music movement doesn’t have **** that can be seen as “goofy” to it though?
They all do.
