Not going lie. That **** getting old quick.

I said a few months ago the flood gates were opening for strippers because of Cardi. Nicki had the stripper body, but now they think they can get on being a former stripper.

They discount the fact that Cardi got fame from her personality, not dancing. Her fake bodies wack.

They just see she was a stripper. And every guy is willing to write to get money and sex.

Women don't like bars and they want sexual and catchy Rap songs. They also don't support female rappers like that. I didn't know many women that were listening to Kim, Foxy, Mia X or Brat. I knew more men listening to them than women.

The female stripper turned rapper is really poppin and we gonna see a lot of it. That sexual and ignorant and talentless music is what's popping right now.

I can't say that

because they supported Lyte, Salt N Pepa and Latifah

It changed after Kim and Foxy

but they might be doing them like they did us, and pushing a certain type of music towards them.

Women weren't ******* with Kim and Foxy?

I mean I know they got push back because of how overtly sexual they were, but that was a given.

Overall, I thought most women appreciated Kim and Foxy.

I feel like women ****** with their singles but not their albums. You can quote songs from your favorite male rap albums from 96 and 98. How many women you know can quote non singles from Kim and Foxy's first three albums?

If I was a broad, I would have copped every female rap album just out of support.

That must be that new york ish because the chicks down south where definitely supporting Trina and we know her gimmick was sex.

Gangsta Boo, Mia X, Brat, Trina and La Chat. How well they do and how long they last? Trina and Brat the biggest out of all the southern rappers but still, they weren’t huge.

Diamond from Crime Mob didn’t get much love from women. She should have had a nice solo career.

And Gangsta Boo, Mia X and them were niche rappers and not nationwide.

Bratt went platinum

Bratt came before Kim and Foxy. So she was still in that Lyte, Paula Perry, Bahmadia and Latifah lane of female rappers. If Bratt came out after Kim popped, I don't think she would have worked. I don't think JD would have set her up. He would have probably picked some sexy chick and written for them like he did Kriss Kross.

After Kim and Foxy everything changed for female rappers, when before most were almost like dudes. So Cardi B is like the next evolution.

Wasn't Heather Hunter even trying to do music back in the day?

I always thought Eve was dope, because she downplayed her background and wanted to be known for abilities. She only included some of it. Probably because of RR. If she was with someone else it would have been different, I'm sure.

Women weren't ****ing with Kim and Foxy?

Read what I wrote again, not sure how you could come to that conclusion.

With the amount of women in the world and how few women rappers there were, every female rap album should have gone platinum off women support alone is all I'm saying.

Rah Digga album didn't do **** and it was a dope album.

Amil album didn't do well either.

Yeah I don't know about that. Women LOVED Lil Kim.

And I remember girls saying that Diamond Nuck if you buck verse all the time. She just disappeared.

Missy the only female rapper i can I say i personally "liked" and supported based off the music.
Her first 3 albums were dope. 1st one being a classic and one of my favs til this day.

Lil Kim & Trina were only eye candy for me as a kid...was checking for their videos which prolly made the song better.

I don't understand female listeners

but I think we have a lot to do with it, because men are the ones who run the music industry

Just like in the late 80's and early 90's you had multiple female rappers. All of a sudden, there can only be one and the only want to listen to a certain type of music?

I've seen the way they push rap music to black people after NWA despite so called conscious rappers selling, so I don't think it's just women.

Rap is in its “Wild West” anything goes period rght now ...it’s open for all business and anybody can jump in it n have some level of success

N damn Skippa must have really pissed the QC dudes off for them to completely ignore him and act like he doesn’t exist while he’s still on the roster :{ ...they treating him like an athlete that still under contract but banished from the team for being too much of a cancer :lol

Diamond was surrounded by the wrong crew. Can't expect to blow up if Crime Mob, Lil Scrappy & Soulja Boy is your circle of friends.
I think Crime Mob had stopped messing with her back then as well. I know her and the other chick, Princess, were at odds.

like another poster above said, La Chat & Gangsta Boo weren't going very far. Wasn't too many people trying to hear 3 6 Mafia artists on solo projects.

Speaking of Brat, it's funny how JD tossed Kriss Kross to the side once she started popping off. I always wanted to hear about their story after she took their spot as the number one priority at So So Def.
