Random, but I hit this afrobeats party yesterday and found out halfway through it was mainly promoted as a college party. Had already been drinking and there was a bunch of phat young chicks in the building so I stuck around for a little bit.
Anyway, it was already live in there but when the DJ played this ****, whole crowd started going crazy:
I'm over by the bar watching like, damn, is it really that serious? Does this joint really go like that? Am I washed? **** had me contemplating my life in the moment
But the point of the story is I remember somebody in here talking about how Faneto was one of the hottest songs in recent years because it got the clubs going crazy and I'm thinking nah can't be, that song is bunz. I still don't think the song is anything special, but that whole party definitely got turnt the **** up when they dropped it

Facts
Faneto was how I knew I was kinda out the loop. It came out in 2014. I was 2 years removed from college...and stumbled into a random college party around then. Vividly remember looking around like WTF. Everybody singing it word for word and the place damn near erupting. Had to step back and realize it for what it was. Song def bumps in a party setting though.
I think for those people born between like 93-96...that song is an anthem to them.

And I definitely assumed wasn't **** happening once I found out it was a college party, I did end up having this little Ethiopian chick choosing tho. Gave her the number and she texted today, so we'll see how that goes, but I'm not really messin with chicks that are still using meal points at this stage of my life, I'm probably chillin.
