Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

kickvicisous kickvicisous

It’s a designer drug man. Expensive habit. Exclusivity + lifestyle appeal. Status symbol. Rich white people used to do coke and ludes in the 80s for the same reasons.

Like Mozzy was saying...***** wouldn’t be f’n with it if it was readily available and cheap. And they drinking bs right now. Whoever got the last reserves of Act sit/sat on a gold mine.

Y’all Texas boys HOU$TON HOU$TON @D StaXX can speak to this.

So its not just cough medicine and sprite, I guess I'm washed cause in high school every so often I'd see people drinking it at parties. Had no idea people were blowing this much on that ****. I thought after Pimp C a majority of rappers of age would start discouraging that ****

I pop Molly, smoke Weed, and consume THC products. Those are the only drugs I can properly function on without any adverse side effects. I can’t **** with lean, won’t **** with it.

Semi related but one of my trainers had a brother pass recently from an overdose.

And I said something to the effect of “I’m glad I never went further than liquor and weed” (Not in a crass, insensitive way. Part of a longer conversation).

And he said “you know those can kill you too”.

And I basically did Alonzo on the bench in real life.

Liqour yea, not weed

Aren't they making Counterfeit Ac anyway?

That's the thing about all these drugs for me, there's just no telling WTF they mixed in there until you've already taken them. Although i have flirted with the thought of taking some addy's to really get some **** done.

Let’s not do THIS man (and I knew it was coming). Neither is really “cool”. Drug use has claimed the lives and careers of many over the years. From blues to R&B, to rap, reggae, pop, rock etc. Some of our greatest musicians across many genres were stone cold addicts and some perished from it. Even the greatest couldn’t escape the grasp of substance abuse. And they made great music on and about it.

In an ideal world....these creatives wouldn’t lean on drugs for inspiration or fall on it to cope. But the reality is that....they do.

I’m saying. It’s OD with dudes like Pump.

No way in hell should a young up and coming rapper see any of these dudes and think "wow they look cool, I need to do drugs too"

There’s conflicting information about lung cancer via marijuana. But you can also get lung cancer having never smoked in your life (supposedly the case with Olympic Gold Medal boxer Howard Davis). So certainly you can if you smoke as well.

Yea and the only actual death we know of was when Reagan had a Reese monkey have a masked strapped to its face and had weed smoke non stop pumped. Damn thing couldn't breathe

Dro should be FLOURISHING in this social media/instagram era :pimp:

RIP that boy mac that came out of nowhere but on a needed lighter note i wish y’all kept on with the Dro love that man should have had a classic career.

lowkey want him to still have a run.

That ain't a punch, she must have been hit with a bottle or glass or some ****.
