That number is extremely high for that crime. Normally you get a year max.
That high number IMO means there's more to that case. Three years is a long time. That's a low felony number. Normally misdemeanors are a lot less.

It’s not that simple tho. The case isn’t getting reopened or anything like that and I really don’t think he touched her but he set up the environment where a 15 year old got drunk and from the sounds of it got raped by 1 or a few people. He’s not going to jail but it does look bad in the public eye.
