The author of this think piece makes some good points along with some terrible ones.
For instance, Angela does look extremely questionable for her repeated caping for CTG. The fact of the matter is that the only people who can speak to what happened are the ones who were actually there, and since there’s variation in both of their stories, it’s foolish for anyone to say, definitively, what did or did not occur between CTG and that young woman. I agree with him fully on that. Shorty definitely needs to put her cape down; especially since CTG is being very tight lipped about the situation at the moment. It’s curtains for her career if any of this comes out to be true.
But the author is using Angela’s rhetoric to make a broad presupposition that the black community isn’t viewing the justice system with the same skepticism for instances of rape/sexual assault as it does in other cases where our people are being given the ****ty end of the stick. That’s not true. For the most part, there seems to be far more outcry for people trying to ge CTG the **** out of here than there is from people who are trying to dismiss the allegations.
Like I said before, everyone ought to be skeptical of all aspects of the situation, because there are too many inconsistencies. CTG needs to address those inconsistencies before anyone finds it suitable to remotely jump out the window for him.
