Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

Styles P had a lot of good points in the sitdown. Bruh tryna chase Cole and Kendrick while also tryna be in the Ye and Diddy type lane.

Wayne >>> BG & Juvie.

True STARBOY

Best verse on these joints too:

BG a cult hero. Dope as hell...but he never reached where Wayne did on Carter 1 & Carter 2. As a fully rounded rapper/lyricist Same with Juvie.

Juvie,Turk and BG will tell you themselves that Wayne is a prodigy and they knew he was on their heels. Juvie said it on the Combat Jack episode (one of the best Combat episodes btw).

Yeah they knew Wayne was dope
Bg def a cult hero
But man 400 degrees as their Magnum opus

Do agree, but to say he's overall is a better rapper than Juvenile...

I have to say no. CMR is CMR because of Juvenile.
CMR ouldn’t have got the distribution deal
if not for BG
HE was the one moving the units
For them to get the deal
Now juvie was the one
who proved cmr was worth the deal they got
Because of how well 400 degreez did
But they woulda never got that deal
If not for bg

I always the Murphy Lee was the best rapper out of the St. Lunatics. I loved this song and always thought Murphy Lee got off

Chingy hits man. Couldn’t go around and not hear Right Thurrrrr with that stupid *** dance

Oh and this. Jason Weaver MURKED it :pimp:

Once I heard the Jason Weaver-only version of One Call Away, Chingy’s ceased to exist

Tha Carter
Tha Carter 2
Carter 1 as an overall body of work is better
But
I mind u
I love carter 1
But if I had a choice to only listen to 1 album
For the rest of my life
And it was outta those 3 albums
Ccitg would get the nod.......as long as they replaced the album version of bling bling
With the radio version with Wayne

Eh
Chingy washes luda
2 chains
And i20 on “we got” from chicken n beer
He will always at least get respect for that
Speaking of i20
I’m still mad I bought his album
:smh: :smh:
Was waiting for lil fate to drop an album
He always had a mean verse on Luda albums

I always hear people say that about Chingy’s verse on there and nope. He had Big Sean syndrome, where he sounds like a woman in transition. You can’t wash anyone with that type of voice.

Murphy Lee was nice his album just sucked. Not sure why, thought he was about to deliver something serious.

Chingy had joints too and his first album hard as ****

Jackpot >>> ANY Wayne album

Master P promoting the hell out of I Got the Hook Up 2 and the 20 year anniversary of Da Last Don. About to watch the movie on YouTube now.

I knew Murphy lee album was gonna be trash
When what the hook gon be
Was the hook :{

What the Hook was cool and wack but it sounded better after hearing the rest of the album. Smh, album was really that bad. Spent like $16 and only liked three songs.

I would love to know how much P spent on Da Last Don movie and how much he made. This **** is unreal.

Wayne was rapping better than them *****s as a teen
500 degreez > 400 degreez

:rofl: Wayne was gitting ghostwritten for, as an adolescent. 500 Degreez still get played from me. “You gotta walk like soldier, move like hustler, talk like Playaaaaa”

BG, Turk and Wayne are within 2 years of age, of each other. And BG and Turk sounded wayyyyyy more mature! BG is my personal favorite anyway so, IDGAF.

Sit this one out broski... stay above the mason dixon with y’all wannabe southern, identity crisis having baltimoreans.

Wayne himself will tell you, BG is better. AND, quiet as kept, BG ALWAYS had punchlines in his verses! With that said...

“I ain’t nothing but 17 years old...” :pimp:
