Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

One of the greatest albums ever released by No Limit.

What’s your top 5 NL albums?

I can’t hear “Slangin” and not picture Pimp C in a leather jacket, holding two small note cards and reading his verse in the booth. Funny as hell Fiend sharing that story.

In order…

Ghetto D
Shell Shocked
Charge It 2 Da Game
There’s One in Every Family
Unpredictable or Ghetto Fabulous, leaning towards Ghetto Fabulous because of one song, “What’s Your Alias”

“Slangin” is 🔥🔥🔥
One of my all time favorite rap songs period. Song can change a bad mood for me lol

Though Ghetto D is a P solo album, the many features gave it a compilation feel. A lot of the talent signed to No Limit was showcased through that album, reason I have it at the 1 spot.

Surprised to see Sons of Funk on a list lol. I thought the Mo B. **** album was better. Like seeing the Big Ed album as a honorable mention, solid album. The Gambino Family album was decent too. Had a few standout tracks on it.

C-Murder Bossalinie>Life Or Death IMO

That's just off the top of my head. If I say down and thought about it there'd probably be some changes. I was at warehouse or sam goody every Tuesday copping a no limit cd. I had every one released to me locally in Cali 😂🤦🏾‍♂️. From 96-01 No limit got a grip of my money.

In a short few years from middle school to high school I probably listened to that big Ed, Mac, and Soulja slim combined more than any other albums not 2pac still to this day. Sons of Funk hold a special place I finger popped my crush to pushing inside of you so I'll always rock with that cd 😂

Same fam lol. Had a rainbow collection of No Limit albums lol.

I bet you didn’t buy the Lil Soldiers album lol. It was trash lol, but they had a dope soldier song on there
I even bought the ones I knew would be bad 😂 Krazy, Full Blooded, choppa, Magic, Mercedes when she finally dropped after 10 years of being advertised , Lil Romeo and yes even lil soldiers 😂. It was more about collecting them at that point cause most of em were trash might have 1 or two songs you could play
