I will never understand NT's love for Dipset.

It's just y'all. I SWEAR.
So when we were discussing this yesterday I was at work, earbuds in. Went back and listened to DI part 1 and some songs from part 2. Found myself singing the samples throughout the songs more than anything. But I have to agree with checks mcgee checks mcgee the production and their style of rap complemented each other very well. Still tho, not a big fan of em, but I get it, especially if you’re from NY/east coast or whatever.

We came up in very raw period man. A lotta of rappers from that era have crazy bars like that, and not once did I think it was a reflection of their sexuality. More so the idea how real 💩 can get if you F around. I was just listening to that Wu-Tang song where in the beginning Meth was saying wild stuff lol. I got it, and laughed lol.

LOL damn I feel old for being a dipset fan. But looking back, it was probably the soul sampling production that I admired the most. That and the rebellious nature of the group. Everyone knew Hov didnt want them there, but they still got ish poppin.

I'm from Cali if that makes a difference.

Not even that, that dude is a Adam disciple who trolls.

He said that **** for attention. By now, everyone knows Biggie got that from Richard Pryor and the trans chick wasn't even trans.

It's too many clowns involved in hip hop that don't advance it, only pilfer and grift from it.

How old are you?

Cam was an actual movement. Smash singles, sold millions of albums and was a fashion icon for us. Had middle schoolers to grown men dressing like him. Had out of towners using our slang.

Cam and Juelz were nice. Cam got rich and lazy, Juelz got with Wayne and they were cracked out.

I was like 5-8 years old during their peak. I know and remember the songs, just don't remember people loving them like that. I remember 50 being bigger.

The past 15 years Jim's music has been far better than Cam's
A bunch of wasted money and production. I don’t care if you think Jim made better music than Cam the past 150 years

Y’all can pretend Jim good at rap or makes good music til the end of time. Repeat it every time. Still not believable

The way his lyrics match with the beat plus the instrumental is as harlem as it gets this song really gives me
East side vibes

The movement was real. Their trajectory was at the same time as g unit except g unit had a bigger machine/narrative behind them.

But cats were wearing pink. They influenced Wayne. Had crossover hits. Influenced slang.

But you were 5 so it’s going to be different for you.
