Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

This is AI man. You can tell by the voice lacking X's energy.

He said K Solo, that was never a secret.

Pac had been dead for a year plus.
I heard him say that Pac line years ago on the original Get at Me dog freestyle. At least 10 plus years ago. I think he replaced it with K-Solo on the official release.

So no one likes Tips King album (I do)?
I forget TI vs TIP was even in between KING and Paper Trail. KING and Paper Trail were some top tier albums and I don’t even mess with TI like that. It felt like those two albums flowed right into each other.
I'm not a big TI fan, but King was a dope album to me, and honestly the only one I'd actually listen to in its entirety.

Wow…Pac vs X could’ve been interesting

Kinda wild to think how the East vs West would’ve played out had Pac and BIG not passed. The possible alliances and collabs. One Nation, BIG maybe leaving Bad Boy, Nas and Pac working out their differences and making work of it, so many possibilities

The way l see it, UL had top tier hits and even the filler tracks were dope (the greatest, countdown, intro etc)

TM had bangers, and one of my favorite songs of all time (let's get away) but the filler joints just didn't do it for me, personally. I was never crazy about doin my job, bezel, l can't quit and a few others. But l understand if someone ranks it higher. Also, l think the tracks should've been in a different order. It doesn't flow well imo.

His flame kinda burned out after King bc he made himself to visible by making movies and tv shows and stuff. You gotta keep a level of mystery as a rapper imo.

Ti vs tip was ok, it felt very forced and the buildup was a bit cheesy with him doing interviews as one or the other.

Paper trail had some joints.

It's only a few songs that l really liked after 06: On Doe On Phil, (wish he didn't have a feature on here), money talk (video is insane too), peanut butter jelly. His verse on Ain't l is a masterpiece too.

you don't know me

is such a crazy 3 song run

but yeah it comes down to which filler songs you like more really

cuz they both got some of his best bangers ever

Anyone check out snoop/Dre new album, sounds horrible, then again both are in their 60’s almost lol
It’s awful. Snoop is fine on there. His easy flow works in any era. I don’t know what’s up with Dr. Dre. I was very impressed with the Marsha Ambrosius album and that made me hopeful for this one, but the beats are so empty and soulless. This was a nostalgic money grab with no nostalgia.

I forgot to listen to that. Thanks.

I got Trap Muzik filler songs over Urban Legend. Songs like Countdown, Get Ya 💩Together, What They Do…don’t have a lot a replay value today. I can listen to Trap Muzik from start to finish still.

Our legends are not bowing out on time. Been mentioning that trash Ice Cube album. Not checking for Dr Dre now days. Snoop just be recording anything. Redman dropped an awful single some time ago. It's definitely some who should've been tapped out.

One of the few who is still doing his thing and doesn't sound washed is E-40.

Underrated TI album

Harry Fraud went crazy on this man

No doubttt he dropped 4 projects this year!

Been said it already but, IMO, 1LB was the best, they just didn’t release it to streaming - physical only.. Really did him a disservice doing it that way

I copped all em on vinyl and this how I got it:
1. 1LB (Posca)
2. The Bricktionary (Harry Fraud)
3. Across The Tracks (Conductor)
4. Penalty Of Leadership (Nicholas Craven)

They ALL hard tho. Love how he lets the producer shine and do the entire thing for each one
