Game is now 44 and talking about releasing the third Documentary smh. I did like 2 and 2.5 but Drillmatic was very hit and miss.

That’s another thing I hope hip hop gets away from. A emcee should rap as long as they want to rap and stop trying to put an age limit on what’s applicable for creating music. Those takes usually don’t age very well (no pun intended).

In general, it’s funny as hell hearing young cats talking about what’s “old,” as though everyone doesn’t have a birthday. Age is a blessing, but folks tend not to see that until it’s too late.

Feel like it was a cultural thing. Always embracing what’s new and youthful energy to drive the music. Especially when big labels ran the industry. I think with the generation that grew up on hip hop, it created a lane for the older artists to tour and still publish music.

I never thought it would be the year of our lord 2024 and LL Cool J and Rakim would be dropping new music. Felt like when Jay dropped 4:44…it was low key grown folks music. Counter to the Migos, Gucci Mane, Kendrick, Drake, R Schremm (sp), etc.

I won’t lie I can’t get down with Game’s 44 year old self rapping about the same content he was back in 2004. Though the hypocrisy says I can accept Big Hit doing the same lol.
