It's unfortunate Dustin Diamond AKA Screech became a statistic of child actors f'ing up later on. But he'll always be a memorable and likable character on a TV show for an older generation. He seemed like a good dude, but he just didn't exercise discretion.
It's sad that his life spiraled down bad after the Saved By The Bell franchises ended. He went through a litany of issues unfortunately.
It's f'd up if his parents squandered his earnings as a kid if what he claimed was true. I think it caused him to file bankruptcy. He also claimed he unknowingly entered a bad housing deal which caused him to face foreclosure.
He had to do game shows and reality shows to eat after Saved By The Bell.
There was a sex tape with him in it, but he claimed it was a "stunt double" with his likeness used years later.
I still can't believe he wrote a book in the late 2000s that fabricated sordid conduct and drug use amongst the Save By The Bell cast. But he claimed a ghost writer was used and he didn't have any knowledge about the content written until it was published. It damaged his relationship with his co-stars.
I recall years ago that he stabbed someone in a bar brawl with a little shank!
But it was nice that he reconciled with Mario Lopez AKA A.C. Slater at least.

It looks like his co-stars forgave him after that bogus book was written about them, and he was on good terms with them the last few years based on what I was reading up on this afternoon.
I think I previously read that he was wanted back in the reboot, but Lark Voorhies AKA Lisa Turtle elaborated it came down to money with him as I previously posted.
