Used to watch X-Play when it was actually called 'Extended Play'...but like others said haven't got a chance to watch it in years since DirecTV stopped carrying the channel block. It sucks they were both awesome shows, and I always used to go to them for all the E3 coverage.

I remember when it was ZDTV, G4/TechTV, and than rebranded as G4TV. I haven't watched it in years though, since DirecTV didnt have it in my package, and (now) neither does FiOS TV. I heard it fell of hard anyways.

that and coverage of E3 was amazing( granted that was with Kevin and adam) but still. Ill miss it. Been watching aots from the beginning and xplay for 05 or so.

To be very honest....The bar as hosting was set incredibly high by Kper. Dude to was probably the best host on television. Dude was funny, smart, and knew how to interview guests.

I haven't watched it in a bit but it will be very missed along with x-play which was an awesome show too.

It does make sense though, no one can fill Kperera's shoes as host on that show.

ratings, money, the usual stuff. I think they should just go the web route as game spot does and produce content that way.

But G4 hasnt been good in a few years. Once Judgment day with victor and tommy was cancelled, the end was near. Cheat with the sexy Kristin holt was gone. Xplay changed its silly format to something else. Kevin did keep AOTS with quality tv for a few years, but he couldnt carry it himself

AOTS was always terrible, but X-Play was a good show that did a fine job with reviews and other features that kept it entertaining. RIP.

G4 use to be my favorite channel when it first released. I use to watch all the OG shows like Cinematech, extended play, etc. religiously.

But like everyone else said the channel went downhill a long time ago. The last show i watched on G4 was Code Monkeys.

Candace is such a terrible host. I wonder who she slept with to get that job . I always found her really attractive though, would pound all of her orifices. You could twist her like a pretzel since she's a gymnast .

I found myself watching X-Play a lot more than AOTS. Kristin Adams, Morgan Webb, and Tiffany Smith were nice to look at. AOTS has been crap since Kevin left and the writing has gotten really bad.

If they were smart, the main people on those shows would start up a youtube channel like Hardwick did with Nerdist and make the kind of shows they want to make with less restrictions. I haven't watched any of the Nerdist stuff but the shows sound interesting. Felicia Day has her own youtube channel too.

Chris Gore needs to do a weekly tv show about movies. He's the funniest person on that network right now and has the same pervert humor like me.

Who signed off on this? Did they not think having the market cornered on tech and video game programming was a good thing? I need to start a TV network and do that it's such a large market that now no one is tapping into. Reading articles is probably preferred to most but there definitely is still room for a channel.

To be honest, I'm surprised XPlay lasted nearly 10 years. I really thought it was gonna last as long as Extended Play.

And too those crying about Sara Underwood, just peep her yoga video.

Making shows centered on video games sounds easier said then done. X-Play was probably the only video gaming show on tv that I know of. Spike TV has like minute show about games and they do stuff for E3 and have video game awards. I'm surprised they just don't do a videogame show but they probably don't think it's worth it.

it usually comes on at like midnight on thursdays or something like that.( theyre in LA and I think they do it live)

While I do agree that it wasnt great, Kevin delivered on all of the interviews, and the networks E3 and comic con coverage was awesome ( at least while kevin was there).

Yup. Only watched AOTS when I was bored. Or to watch Munn talk about sex sometimes, when she did. I started to hate it when her looks got severely exaggerated and they just started focusing on her more than the actual content..."I don't care what movie this ***** auditioning for". X-Play was always cool tho. I miss TechTV.
