I hate this **** cause it’s like the LeBron and MJ comparisons. Two different eras, R&B is mad different in those times.

Are there genres of R&B? I mean of course there is. But do we group em all together when discussing the Mt. Rushmore? I don’t feel Prince and MJ belong in the R&B convo, but in the POP category. Marvin Gaye is more Soul R&B.

I think Babyface’s lack of success as a solo artist kinda hurts his legacy. He wrote smashes for so many artists but he had a couple albums that did well and everything else fell short.
