Can’t believe it’s been 19 years. I remember August 25th 2001 like it was yesterday. Getting ready for church, turned on mtv....mtv news came on and broke the storyRest well baby girl.
I was up late at night on the family computer with MTV on TV in the background when they ran a "breaking news" scroll on the bottom of the screen that read she had died. Pretty shocking to see that.

MJ shot 2 versions of this short film with Spike Lee. When MTV limited airing of the first version (due to "violence depicted in certain images"), they made a trip to Brazil and filmed another version directly on the same soil that African slaves were tortured and murdered on centuries ago.
