Don't understand the question.
I butchered the hell out of that :x
Basically if God isn't all knowing I don't think that would disqualify God from being God just because mankind says he's all knowing.

Ok, I understand you now. I don't agree, but I get what your saying. Interesting.I butchered the hell out of that :x

God needn't be all knowing, this is an arbitrary stipulation set up by imperfect ma. God has the capacity to be all knowing, but this would defeat the purpose o giving people free will. With that being said, there is no such thing as predestination...free will is indeed a peculiar privilege. Furthermore, God , even though having the capacity to foreknow the outcome of an event, can use such ability at his own discretion. Just as he is able to use his physical power to his discretion (i.e. he is not always playing at 'volume 11', but can chose to guage his capacity as he sees fit ). Case in point, he tells Caine 'what you are scheming is not right...change your ways, and gain favor'etc (genesis 3 ithink). In that example God can see the eventuallity of a particular course but yet gives Caine an opportunity to change, and correct himself. Caine is not predestined to kill his brother, he chooses to.Ok, I understand you now. I don't agree, but I get what your saying. Interesting.I butchered the hell out of that

Usually I'd preface all that by requiring you to define what GOD is and what GOD is capable of. If you're going to say we can't know what GOD is or isn't and that we don't know what GOD is capable of or not we really can't go anywhere from there.Don't understand the question.

See like this description to what GOD is. In this instance, in what I partially mentioned before GOD is either not sovereign or in this case completely arbitrary in ability.God needn't be all knowing, this is an arbitrary stipulation set up by imperfect ma. Humans underestimate the power of free will.
How do you all take this quote? So anything that you are put through means God will get you through it? What if it is a failure? Does that mean he wanted you to fail?If God allows you to go through it, he has already provided a way to get out.

I believe that God influences things and God allows things ( He could stop whatever, but he lets natural cause n effect take its course at times- prolly more often than not). By Him choosing when to intercede, that illudes to Him being in full control. But we still have free will. Because WE choose what WE feel based on OUR thoughts/ desires/ emotions/ experiences. Just because He already know what we decided, that doesn't take away our choice and chosen path in the decision.I've always been of the belief that in life **** happens and has nothing to do with God.
Seems to me that people want to feel like a special snowflake and claim that it was God's intention for them to go through tribulations as if the creator of existence itself has nothing better to do than to make Joe Nobody fight an eviction notice to make them a better person.
Yea same here. Some days, I am a believer of it, others not so much. Not even sure I understand why I flip flop LOLI teeter totter on karmic balance depending on the day and my mood.
wouldnt an atheist church be a school?
1) Honestly, what really got me is when I considered that we have free will which basically allows us to do everything God points to as evil in the bible, which, since he gave it to us knowing what would happen, is like sitting a 2 year old near a power socket with a fork and waiting for the result. That was at 11...I've given the concept a lot more thought since then. You folks raped and pillaged my "How to get to Heaven" thread and I felt it was a cry for help/attention.
But seriously tho, I was an Atheist as a teen solely because I rejected the "wild" stories depicted in the Bible. Didnt see how reincarnation made sense with a growing populations and every belief system I researched, I couldnt accept fully or sounded like b.s. I loved science from an early age and I stayed in that realm of reality, tangeability, and explaination. Ive been a Christian for 6yrs, now but I wanted to know a couple things:
How did you end up atheist?
Will pass along this belief to your kids?
Do you have an authority?
Do you fear death? What are your fears?
What do you believe happens after you die?
Do believe in life beyond earth?
Do you believe in any forces in action beyond human control?
Im not gonna discuss my beliefs, Im not trying to convert nobody (doors always open tho), nor am I looking to be converted. I know atheists believe in different things, I just wanted to hear concepts, ideas, or just gain some insight on how you see the world/life/existance.
what would an atheist church teach other than science?Atheism =/= Sciencewouldnt an atheist church be a school?
proven doctrine, truths.... sound reasoning and ration...

wouldn't that be more like regular church...aka something that isn't there...hasn't been there yet ppl pretend and think it exist. An atheist church is like a basketball camp without the basketball.

Church is more like this...there is no ball, u cant see a ball, but u BELIEVE that a ball exist that only u and a select few ppl see, and even then between all of u don't see the ball looking the same.
