Question about the IV's shown in DTRT

Nicekicks posted a picture of the scuffed IV's from DTRT and something looked off to me. Shouldn't the netting extend past the first lace holes?I've tried looking for clear pix of the OG's and all the ones I've seen have the netting where the perf leather is on the shoe below. Am I missingsomething?

Sorry i take that back, the pair in the DTRT were a special pair made exclusively for the movie...

though ive seen those before in a sole collector mag once.
