without a doubtThis better than Inglorious Bastards?
Why is he "salty" though? There's nothing funny about slavery and that's what he was pointing out. Its not a Spaghetti Western. Its something that should be tackled in a serious manner. Its being erased from our history books. Literally. His beef w/ Tarantino dates back to Jackie Brown and his gratuitous use of the N word which he has an obsession with. Glory tackled slavery right. He's had movies about Jackie Robinson and James Brown killed by studios because they wouldn't give him funding. They have a Jackie biopic coming out now and its not Spike behind it. It took George Lucas two decades to get Red Tails done and he's George Lucas. They had to dumb down the movie as well as its marketing to get across to the movie going public. Tarantino could get away with doing a movie like this because of who he is. His catalog doesn't compare to Spike Lee's. He has a legitimate beef not only with the movie, but Tarantino and Hollywood in general.Spike Lee stays salty.so the jews got their revenge..
now african americans..
maybe we can get one with native americans, his style is unique and spike is mad he cant mess with QT's catalogue..
its disturbing that our worlds history is messed up, but it happened you cant change the fact that it happened..
i personally love tarantinos work, it gives it a raw feeling, like its just regular hitmen and drug dealers conversing..
i could see why spike would be upset, i mean i'd be pretty pissed if a white director thought about a movie empowering slaves..
Uncle Ruckus on steroids mixed with Rick James
To me, there's no way Spike is a better filmmaker than Tarantino.

Amazing film...white people were definitely uncomfortable, but everybody seemed to love it...Tarantino's 8/8 in my opinion...
that being said, i wish he wouls scale back on the epics and do another simple crime flick, but i doubt that'll happen...i missed the lengthy dialogues, pop culture and film nerd references in this one, but i guess most of that **** didn't exist back then
any yeah, Samuel L Jackson played the **** out of that role ...honestly, everybody did a amazing job...but i guess you can't allow yourself to slack on a Tarantino film...
If this song doesn't win an Oscar I'll be very angry. While the film isn't perfect, the music is phenomenal. Get the soundtrack asap
Malcolm X is better than anything Tarantino will ever do.To me, there's no way Spike is a better filmmaker than Tarantino.

totally two diff type of movie directors.... still dont see how ppl are comparing the two.Come on now man....
Malcolm X is better than anything Tarantino will ever do.
I agree, but Spike lacks consistency.
one could say quentin lacks versatility
one could say quentin lacks versatility
Kill Bill
Reservoir Dogs
Pulp Fiction
Jackie Brown
Basterds
are all VERY different, I don't know what you're talking about. The only thing Tarantino's movies have in common is the violence and the fact that he sticks with the same actors.
Spike Lee and Tarantino are very different. Spike Lee tries to make social commentary with his movies which isn't exactly marketable but he's one of the best at doing so.
If you wanted to say something bad about Tarantino I'd say its his "lack of originality". He is a student of film and he borrows a lot of elements of old cinema and puts his own spin on it eg blaxploitation, samurai flicks, westerns.
