Props to Canada for legalizing recreational marijuana

How’s this work if you live in Michigan, drive over to Windsor, smoke a few blunts and come back!?

A bunch of idiots about to come back smelling like weed and get busted at the boarder :lol

Won't happen here until private/for profit prisons are outlawed.

ICE money ain’t the same. TX will never legalize weed. They’ll lose billions on jails

its their right to no legalize it if they see fit, but the rest of the US will get on board

esp with the benefits of CBD finally getting decent research $$$$

Just never understood how tobacco and alcohol have been legal yet marijuana was scheduled

So dumb

Helps opiate addicts too

I see the southern Midwest never budging honestly.
I do. Even here in Houston they have already started to change. If you got caught with less than 4 ounces...you just pay a fine and have to take a class.

Even then they ain’t checking like they used to. I never thought I’d see the day tbh

Question, and legalized states can chime in to

For places that have legalized weed, is it still up to the discretion of an employer to not hire you or fire you if you partake in the consumption of cannibus?

It's truly beyond me why we haven't done this in my country. We're right under the Netherlands on the map and everyone can see how much revenue the Dutch are getting from taxing it and attracting 'weed tourism'. It's not even like our government is composed of old biblethumpers. Old and white yes but even legalizing cannabis for medicinal use is not even a topic on the agenda.
We even managed to pass a controversial child euthanasia law but apparently changing the cannabis laws is just a step too far.

We did largely decriminalize it but I suspect that had more to do with our prisons being overcrowded. Even multiple kilos won't necessarily land you in prison.
