this isnt the first disappointment nike has done to consumers, i mean they are obviously making money off us and at the same time cutting costs too. i.e.smaller air bubble on retros (pippens, pennys etc.) so the groove not being so defined on the flights doesnt surprise me, i mean it could just be themanufacturer who made them this time around didnt make the mold or something indented enough or the material, whatever the case, its still a sweet shoe. as forthe soles wearing down quick, you are playing outdoors what do you expect. I play mines only indoor and they are great.
the lettering was the first thing i noticed after one wear and i was a bit disappointed and pissed seeing that its a 180 shoe, so what i do now is just tuckthe tongue strap underneath the zipper and problem solved, no more letters falling off. i imagine they will eventually but its a shoe, it goes through wear andtear. but i agree, nike/jb has gone crap on quality and kept retail prices the same, so its definitely no longer the quality we expected, they are making moneyoff our nostalgia now with these so-so retros (dont get me wrong im glad they are retro-ing older shoes, but at least give us quality if you are charging 100+dollars).
