All trash. The south started really taking over summer 05. While everybody in NY was beefing they just got together and took over. They took over the clubs and still made quality music. Yeah it was some garbage dance records coming out but it was TIP, Wayne, Jeezy, Buck, UGK and a bunch of _'s from Houston all making great music. Then the takeover was complete when Khaled started getting EVERYBODY on his records in 06. And NY just kept fading and they still are. The West is coming back strong with TDE, Nipsey and that DJ Mustard sound. I don't know where NY Hip Hop is going.
Llyod banks is fabolous wit a different voice loool
Lloyd banks ran outta punch lines two weeks after Murphy lee
All trash. This south run in hip hop really doesn't have anything to do with NYC. Pretending the West is coming back don't matter either. The south started really taking over summer 05. Home was robbed for about 200 plus kicks, my wife's engagement ring, a flatscreen, some of my wife's used panties :x , my Nerf Retaliator and my daughters Nerf Sweet Revenge. They really came for the shoes, anything else was a bonus. We were out celebrating my little cousins 3rd birthday. All good, mistakes on my part. Think it's help me find my calling.Care to share my dude???
I can respect that but honestly if ppl are talking about a run and dominating then who is "coming back" or is "relevant" would matter. Yall had that official great run with dope music and platinum albums in the 90s but then other than Snoop went ghost for a while, then Game had everybody thinking there'd be a resurrection but he turned out to be bi-polar, and now I see a lot of hope mainly put in Kendrick who is dope but I don't see much talk about anybody else. I remember ppl use to talk about Nipsey Hussle and whoever else but they're mainly ghost now.All trash. This south run in hip hop really doesn't have anything to do with NYC. I'll add NYC doesn't have anybody right now doing it in both avenues but then again not many rappers that aren't already established are from any region anyway.
If we were just talking about good music from other regions that'd be a whole other discussion cuz I love me some Pac Div, Dom, etc. as far as new artists go.
