Super slow progress on my full armor resin, but it doming along. The shoulders too me just as long as the rest of the body.

Salute to all my Fig Hunters out there. My two new pickups. First Fortnite fig I’ve bought and i think I’m about to get more

I'm assuming you got all those colors on the upper body thru masking? If so, you did a hell of a good job

I need that "City Demon" Predator for the collection. Saw one yesterday in Walmart and thought the lightening was dope.
I'm about to start my power rangers collection as well. Saw a Green Ranger & Putty two pack that screamed "buy me".

I have got to learn to paint like frenchbreadbuilds frenchbreadbuilds , it would prob help if i bought good paints though  but man you do an amazing job

its honestly not a difficult as Iooks. To do what I do, it’s less about skill and more about having the right tools and supplies. When you have everything you need it gets infinitely easier to get good results. Paint choice is crucial too. Paints from the arts and crafts section won’t cut it. Lucky a whole Industry revolves around hobby paint

i hate paint shopping, it's hard to find acrylics, i run into enamels way to much

dont waste your time with any acrylics that aren’t Tamiya brand. Are you open to air brushing?

i'm scared of air brushing because of having to tape :lol and i was a crappy spray painter :smh: i read a few tutorials so i'm sure i've learned good tech as i've continued, i'll post some of my customs so you can see the progression, i'm not as heavy handed with the paint brush and a lot more patience between coats. i'm working on a custom ML Odin, painting the silver armor gold, the first one didn't go well despite washing the figure, so luckily i had an accidental purchase spare that i acetone and then washed and it has taken the crappy paint better, actually give me a sec i'll post some of my customs

This is my Custom 2k3 inspired Shredder, I'm happy with it but not satisfied, I have to rip it apart and streamline all the armor touch up the paint in areas before I'll be satisfied, but I'll finish that after Odin

so this was my first attempt and it didn't take very well maybe bcuz of the wash that Hasbro gave him, I'll post the more improved one when I'm done

these are the 2 Karai I did I used Ranger Slayer first bcuz I couldn't find Baroness but once I found her I figured it wouldn't be wrong to have more than one lol, those I used a silver acrylic while as below

20200618_201528.jpg

thus is Steel, and I used silver enamel bcuz I didnt know the paint was enamel bcuz I never took the time to read and learn that my mettalic paints at the time were, and that's when I learned how it eats at soft plastic, doesn't cure well to it and gets gummy, you live amd you learn
IMG_2020-06-16_19-16-27.JPG

Finally I did a more simple custom with this Superior Spiderman where I just toon an Infinity War Spiderman, stole his legs and gauntlets and then painted, at this point I was still super impatience and very paint on brush heavy but it turned out well enough, I'm also realizing those gauntlets are acrylic silver before I hit the hobby lobby to by some master models bcuz I'd heard it was a great paint to use (which I used on Steel) I've since learned to better pay attention and none of my other custom are sticky, which sucks bcuz steel is the only one sealed and is still sticky, especially his hammer,

so I've made improvementand techniques along the way and patience, but some expensive boar hair brushes that I use, it really i think comes down to its time to step into getting better paints

this all looks pretty good especially considering you brush painted it! But when I tell you there’s nothing to be afraid about with air brushing I mean it. Literally nothing you do has to be permanent and can be undone. If there’s something You don’t like, just prime over it and start again! Primer will also make sure tourAnd masking isn’t nearly as bad as you think. Tamiya makes masking tape as thin as 2mm and they make curved masking tape as well.

and anything that doesn’t come out clean I touch up with detail paint brushes from the army painter.

Like I said, it comes down to the paint you use. Enamel has its uses believe it or not, but mostly for detail painting because it can be wiped away easily. But 90% of the acrylics out there are garbage. Tamiya is where it’s at because it’s a lacquer based acrylic. I personally only use full lacquer based paints , with enamel in some circumstances. Here’s a tutorial I did on what I mainly use enamel for.

So here are the videos/text tutorials I was using for reference and learning

Was looking at the DC figs yesterday myself. Only ones that interest me are John Stewart, Cyborg and Grim Knight Batman.

Glad to see Apex Legends has their own figs now. Waiting for them to drop figs for Crypto, Lifeline, Bangalore, & Loba.

Having a lot of fun with the new MGEX unicorn. This is really the pinnacle of the MG line to this point. Fixes everything single issue the old MG had and then some. Awesome LEDs, loads of accessories, and backwards compatibility with the only old unicorn kit worth getting. The full armor version. I plan on painting this up next year at some point.

also working on the 1/72 scale GP03 Gundam from a new third party company. Over 1500 pieces and full LED gimmicks. Painting this so it’s just a snap build
