It's because of the pantoscopic tilt. Get the New Wayfarer (2132) if you want a similar shape and not worry about the frame resting on your cheekbones.

if you don't try them on before you buy them, at least get the specs of glasses that fit you and try to get ones that are similar in specs.

If glasses you like don't come in a size appropriate for you... find something else that does.
