A cracked brim seems beyond rare. Was it an older release? Was it stored funny? Were you too harsh? It seems nearly impossible to do. But maybe not? Out of hundreds of caps, I think I own one new era that has cracked (2-3 off brands from 20-30 years back) but nothing else.i really cracked the brim on this cap
i steamed it before bending it and all
And yet I bought a 97ws Indians retro cap used a year back and it seems to have some cracking going on by the prior owner. I don’t tend to bend my caps beyond a slight curve. Maybe quality is going downhill on the newer caps?
Older 91-96 era authentics seem to have almost too soft of a brim. And then your 97-06 grey unders seem stiffer but never enough to crack a brim.
No recent buys. Trying to lay low for a long while. Lots of deals out there thoigh, it’s tempting.
Gonna break out a few new ones when the weather warms. For now

Worn multiple times. It has a pre curved bend to it naturally. The crown is naturally soft. The best era of on fields right there.
