Yeah too bad NE didn't let John J do it before. They just now allowed different colored cord brims. It would've been better with the ASG game patch but I know some purists complain it's not era accurate.
However I do see a new trend of hats for teams coming with ASG patches that don't coincide. What I mean is most hats that have an ASG patch are usually the host city. But i'm seeing more and more "mismatched" patches. The first one i remember is eblens Cubs that had the 1991 ASG instead of the 1990 one. then I seen MyHatstop have these

I kinda dig it and I'm def picking up that LA cuz that's one of my fav patches and it's a traditional Dodger blue joint.
However I do see a new trend of hats for teams coming with ASG patches that don't coincide. What I mean is most hats that have an ASG patch are usually the host city. Wasn’t planning on getting anything from todays LidsHD drop but I’ve started to buy only logos i don’t have unless the colorway is fire. So i had to go with these since i have neither and i been wanting this Royals logo .

Yeah i did a double take and thought it was off to but that’s the best deal you’ll find on hats from a retailer. Hat club roughly $60 something a hat shipped

I like this trend too. Considering players wore the same host team patch during each ASG event, this makes total sense. It adds a lot of longevity to basically have 30 teams for each asg patch year, instead of just the host. I feel it started with the Yankees and we’ll see it pop up more. The Buffalo bisons milbstore page dropped a few sliding bison caps. They don’t appear to have side patches, so plain Jane in nature. And retail is $38.

It’s a 2018 HC exclusive remake of the a 1987 Minnesota twins era onfield. Large correctly sized Flat M logo. Correct top red button. Kelly green under. No batterman. Tonal side flag. Made in USA. Only downer would be the black sweatband.
