Duncan

21 points, 20 rebounds, 10 assists and 8 blocks in title clincher

As a Laker fan, I cannot call Tim Duncan my favorite player but I respect a great deal and that game that he had to finnish the 2003 Final was so impressive. Not only did he win a title and nearly have quadruple double but that game is litmus test for if you are real basketball fan or not. Everyone called thatseries, where the both home teams lost, where a crucial game five had to be played and where defense and heart and hustle and intensity were even moreimportant than in most NBA Finals.

When I played ball in HS I was pretty well rounded but defense was my forte and I actually liked defense and all its apsects, from the aggresive full courtpress to the half court trap to the block right at the rim and all points in between. Defense is fun, great defense is fun to watch and seeing a man like TimDuncan anchor one of the best defensive teams of all time was a thing of beauty. In addition to that his line involved efficient scoring, the determintion anddesire to get 20 boards and the patience, vision and intelligence to dish out those assists as well.

My favorite line of all time though has to be from the 20 year old Magic Johnson in another title clincher.

42 points, 15 boards, 7 assists, 3 steals and 1 block... He had started at point guar dall season and this was his first start as center

Another great Laker performance was James Worthy in Game 7 of the 1988 Finals

36 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists... He had his first triple double of his career, played great defense that night and won finals MVP

Finally, there was game seven of the 2002 WCF (the defacto NBA Finals that season) when Shaq had

35 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 blocks... Most importantly though, he sank 15 of 17 freethrows, he truly rose to the occasion that night.

Dude came through with the quadruple-double. I think this is before hechanged his name to Hakeem too. Those MJ triple-double stat lines above are just sick

Russell Westbrook 17 points 10 rebounds 10 assists 2 steals 1 block
in a win against the Mavericks last year.

It was his first game with Kevin Durant and Jeff Green both sitting out.

First triple-double by a rookie since Chris Paul.
