Yeah it's different when every bmw has the same grille headlights etc. I used to have a hard time telling them apart but I think I got them all now
 
I just tried to think of a Bimmer currently on sale I'd rather have over a 5.0...i can't think of one...
I'd take a certain M model that no one talks about over a new 5.0...... the X5M. Price wise they are in different leagues, but I love me a fast SUV.

Those are real nice. For a while I thought it was just a spruced up x5 similar to M sport packages. Little did I know there was a turbo'd V8 under there.
 
This thread is just laughable at this point. The M5/M6 V8 > anything an american hand touched.

My bros m6 with downpipes, exhaust and tune is pushing well over 700hp crank and looks classy doing it...

My really good friend's dyno with the same exact mods, difference between the two is my bro has a 2-door and my friend's is the 4 door.



My other homies dyno, since then he's added a meth kit and will do a clean 700hp whp now

M5... now we're talking. I love the look of the F10. Clean and classic yet modern.

My bros m6 with downpipes, exhaust and tune is pushing well over 700hp crank and looks classy doing it...

A $100 pulley and a tune on a $55k ZL1 would make >700hp at the crank. I know the cars really aren't comparable because they're in different categories but if we're talking numbers...

I mean, I understand, the Z06 would destroy any BMW realistically. Key part of the equation was "classy while doing it".

My friend took his modded Huracan to shift s3ctor and got wrecked by a 1500hp GT-R with a parachute on it. I'll still take the lammy.

We can apply that same recipe to a CTS-V. Still looks classy but I'd give the nod to the M.

I don't know if it's the drivers or what but Lambos get spanked at every half-mile event I've been to. GT-R's seem to dominate but I've seen a couple Vettes and Vipers give them a hard time.

I'm cool with the CTS-V, and all the new cadillacs rolling out right now. I applaud the direction their headed. But the only time you'll see me in one is when I request the Uber :rollin .


Not trying to sound full of myself or anything like that, I guess i'm just not an American car guy, was never into it at all growing up and have always preferred Japanese over domestics. Can respect all cars for what they are, but knowing how hard it is to make a buck I just would get something that satisfied all of my requirements, and currently nothing domestic fits the bill. I'm not sure about the newest, hottest on the street model GM's or Ford's but i've always felt like they've lacked the refinement which always came so naturally to the europeans.

I guess it depends where you're from and what kind of social groups you run with but in my area domestics are predominantly driven by rednecks and country people or older white males. 

The Z06 is a beast but its not a daily driver, which plays into my opinion that the M3/M4 is still the best overall package in its class.
