How many people here are old enough to remember when you didn't need the area code to dial a number? I believe 10-digit dialing started somewhere in 2001 or maybe before if I'm not mistaken.. there's not any pictures I can post to show that so I thought I would ask.. those were the days...

I actually used a pay phone the other day. Was getting my phone fixed and had to make a call. Luckily I'm still from the era of having certain phone numbers memorized.

I haven't used a payphone in about 10-15 years. Definitely funny there are still a few numbers from my teen years I still know by heart.

Pay phones were still everywhere when I took a trip to London, UK a few years back.

Pay phones are still pretty common in Canada, at least in Toronto and Montreal. I even saw a phonebooth.
