They are a recent release. The boutiques here in Vegas had them two weeks ago and they looked really nice actually. They only had a 41, 42 and 43 left otherwise I would have picked them up. As kevineg6 mentioned they are a lot lighter than the MInt Cotes pleated. Some angles they almost looked light baby blue, perhaps it was the lighting in the store. The Louis blue spikes hit the Vegas boutiques yesterday and sold out in minutes. The spikes and laces are a tad darker than the suede itself and have a touch of violet to them. They looked great.

Wow I remember you posting this not to long ago, they look way lighter than the eBay pic. The eBay pic makes them look more darker like the balenciaga. I'll take your guys word for it on being a lot lighter.

There are two on eBay right now and one is from a guy 23hundred on instagram that is a personal shopper/stylist in NYC or someone took his photo off instagram and is using it. The photo below is from his instagram as well and shows the difference in Cotes and the Louis. Granted there is a flash used, but you can see what I mean about them almost looking light blue.
Kev, I did my best to secure sizes and was only able to get a 43 for a friend. It was the last one in Vegas.

Exactly its really sad.
I will be jumping ship from Louboutin once I get the blue pair. Like seriously they have released over 15 colors of Spikes this year and it's not even over yet. What happened to brand integrity? Let's not forget the Rantus style while some solid versions of them in Python have released they too have gone the Foamposite route. 
It's been real guys. I'll be sticking to the obscure brands. Not even Louis Vuitton or Gucci has taken the extreme and flooded the market with tons of colorways of the same style. Give credit to them for at least making new models. Louboutin really only has 5 styles, the Louis Flat. Rantus, Jr versions of the already said style and Rollerboats. They need to bring back the Mickael Flat, the Spacer Flat and damn even the Alfie flat although I think those are :x or hell get more creative and think of another shoe that isn't based off a Converse All Star. I digress.

They got the club flat and the espadrilles, but those aren't the best sellers lol. They striking while the iron is hot. Why would they risk sales developing a new product when the one the have now is selling so well?

^^^ I was referring to the sneaker styles. The reason why is because over saturation most of the time leads to brand decline in the long run. As for the model design that was an after thought. When everyone and their mom has it that what draws the real people with money away from a brand usually. Mind you Christian Louboutin's real bread and butter comes from his heels, and the men's collection is relatively new. You don't want to keep striking the iron while it's hot so many times you break your tools. lol A black smith takes his time while striking to make whatever he's making perfect. It's reasons why Hermes won't put an item on sale if it doesn't sell or take it to a smaller retailer instead they'd rather destroy it. 
While extreme that's the reason why they have been around for so long because of the quality and establishing brand integrity.

I was just saying what spoonie said the other day to myself. Every time I check Instagram, someones grabbing a new pair of Loubs spike in a different color. Reminding me of when JB was dropping hella colors in the AJ1 model

My hypothesis on the saturation of Louboutin releases is that quite a few of these styles have been delayed months if not close to a year due to new manufacturers and the challenges associated with working with a new company. I can think of 4-5 spiked Louis hightops that were supposed to be out last year in the third to fourth quarter. The blue spikes that just realesed this week have been delayed nearly a year. Now with that being said, I am remaining impartial here. I do think that the market that the sneaker and fashion world is in right now is vastly watered down and unimaginative for the most part. It seems as if everyone is content with staying in the box and just changing colorways, however people are eating it up. I can understand from a business perspective that it takes far less capital to use existing styles and change the textiles/colorways used. On the otherhand isn't the purpose of fashion to fuel creativity and innovation through ones style? The cyclical flow of fashion and what is hot and what is not will never stop. Balenciaga has really come into popularity the past year and half or so and Louboutin maintains their popularity simply because they heavily control the demand. Will either be able to hold onto that brand awareness continuing to simply slap colors together or slightly changing tones from season to season? For Balenciaga I think not and Louboutin will always be a staple for women as it is their bread and butter, but for men like previously mentioned it is relatively new for them.
In a nut shell what it comes down to is that all of us like to be different and come to expect a certain level of outside of the box thinking mixed with creativity and new ideas. I would enjoy seeing new silhouettes from both of these brands with more innovation. Thats just me. Sorry for the story!

it was ok for clothing. They had nudies and naked and famous jeans for thirty nine bucks. They also had a pair of sz 28 balenciaga jeans for like 150. They even had a few jackets balenciaga but it wasn't fun for me cuz I'm out of shape, so stuff didn't really fit smh. Sneaker wise I think they had one pair of arenas that got snatched as soon as the first guy saw it in who knows what size. Some cooked margielas in a US12 which were uncomfortable and lanvin low top in a 12/13(don't remember). Sz 8/9 had a nice blue pair of margielas and something else, but it was weird. Literally one tiny *** wall of sneakers with next to nothing and keep in mind I was there at opening(although there was a line already, they let everybody in at the same time though.)

Well put sir.. It really makes sense, especially from the business side of things. I want those Mickeal Flats with the back heel double strap badly, probably cuz its hard to find..idk maybe we should just stay away from the spikes, those look like the issues with the colorway madness.. It's tough to swallow buyin a $2000 shoe that everybody has variations of...No disrespect meant to anyone here though, pls buy your kicks proudly..
Wrong thread though but how did Kanye do it? I mean, they didn't make 80 colors of his shoes or rather put, he hasn't allowed them to saturate them.. Like those Reds r anticipated after a year and a half of the initial Yeezy 2 releases.. A year and a half!

I love the spikes and thats the only model that I like from Louboutin, I don't even like the pik pik. I agree that they put out a lot of color this year, I really dont mind that. Seriously, how often do you see another man wearing them? Seriously, people complain when they can't get them and when they are "easier" to get, people still complain. Just relax and enjoy your shoes.

Ppl don't want it going the prada acup route, that's the underlying issue. Even though they are easier to get I still think they aren't that easy to get. Nike has us trained to jump through hoops to cop shoes so compared to that it's easy, but still.

Both of you pose valid points. All of the shoes we have grown to love on this thread are still limited releases in the big picture. I have never seen anyone wearing Pleated Balenciaga out and about and very rarely Louboutin. In some respects I am glad I can not get every pair that I like as it makes the hunt and end results of attaining them all the more pleasurable.

I have to agree with this sentiment about the shoes still being limited releases in the big picture. I've seen one person wearing Louboutin spikes when I was visiting NYC and I've only seen three people wearing Balenciaga arenas in the DMV.
I've never seen anyone else wearing pleateds. I CAN'T WAIT to get the red and black pleated. BTW I get more compliments wearing pleateds than any other sneaker I own and most of the compliments are from females
