I didn't see it as anyone bashing the boots. Honestly wish someone made a similar comment to
@echau before I was dead set on buying grey boots last year. It would've made me think twice about buying them. I speak from a position of experience. You might think, "oh yeah they're grey they'll go with everything." I mean that's what I thought but boy was I wrong.
And a good deal is only a good deal if you get value out of what you're purchasing. Buying something just because it's on sale is just what it sounds like, a sales tactic. I mean if you weren't thinking about buying a grey suede pair of boots before the link was posted... were you really buying the boots because you wanted them or because they were a less popular color on sale? At that point you are really spending money to say you saved money, on something you won't get much use out of. Hustling backwards IMO.
I could be wrong but that's kind of how I processed
@echau's post. He was more like, "damn, good deal, but, not sure if this deal is meant for me, wouldn't wear a grey boot that much." I agreed with him.
@FLYKNITLVR agreed with him too. We share the same opinion. Obviously others in the thread don't. It's that simple. There is only one person who came in here up in arms saying people were bashing stuff and overthinking everything.
If we wanted to bash something we could've just referred to
@alp's last post
