did anyone order from saks yesterday?
welp they cancelled my order... maybe they meant to add saint laurent to the exclusion list because all the other usual names were on the list.
Black BV's?! Good. I can use them for a wedding I need to attend in late November. lolWore my represent chelseas all day yesterday.
Compared to BV, they are definitely subpar. Quality isn't as great, and they are ridiculously uncomfortable. They should probably cost sub 200. The only reason why I bought them is because I was intrigued by the 1" taller shaft, and to give my BV some longevity as the crepe sole goes completely black by the 5th wear. I'm not sure why the other dude said they're shorter in height, cause that's definitely not the case.
That being said, I already knew they wouldn't be on the same level as the BV. These are good every day beaters if you don't mind your foot being suffocated, as i'm sure many of us make sacrifices on comfort for a lot of these high end shoes. Hopefully continuous wear will help break them in a bit more.
BV is still king in my book, but I may pick up the olive represents, since it's impossible to find Dark Sargeant BV in my size deadstock. I'm definitely picking up the Black BV's as well when they come out next month. Then i'll chill until the Blush CP's come out. This whole chelsea wave has made me lazy to strap on any of my jods or lace ups lol. I feel like i'm in 5th grade again just slipping shoes on and heading out of the house.
For anyone deciding on wether or not to buy represent, if you absolutely need the color go for it, but if BV has what you're looking for or even CP go that route. I was hoping to avoid buying the Barolo BV since it's not a color i'd wear often so I didn't want to splurge. For me the represents fit the bill, but after wearing them one day, id def have spent a little extra to get the BV instead.

Where are you guys wearing your BV's that's making them turn black with only a few wears? I live in the country and wear mine in rain and snow and none of mine are black. lolAgree. Yeah the price difference is pretty substantial compared to BV. IMO once I broke in my one represents they were comfortable so I bought three more to wear out and not have to worry about stuff spilling on my $800+ BV's or the bottoms turning black dirty after a couple wears etc etc. I save the BV's in colors I dont have the represents in for special occasions or other events. If I was a baller id def only cop BV's but that isnt practical or smart for me to do right now.

Is that city that dirty?I walked around Chicago for like a day and those bottoms were black.
Can't pay the full price for Slp at the moment , has anybody ordered Story ET harness boots yet ? Thinking about grabbing a pair or should I wait till sales season strats to grab a couple of pair of CP Chelsea's
Those SEF harness boots look like garbage. Just save up for the SLPs.
You can usually purchase SLP from euro sites for cheaper due weakened £ and €.
I just bought the last 39

Yeah man post pics when you get them back from being resoled.I'm happy to hear that they break in well, I was hoping that would be the case. did you topy yours? The leather sole had me sliding all around town.
I'm in LA but I go out a lot so maybe that's why. I'm still waiting to see how my shadows come out from a resole, if successful I will wear my BVs more with confidence.
Also, yeah Nero BV are confirmed for October. It's lit.
