im almost positive lv never used monogram lining with their damier line bags so im gonna call that as fake, but of course your best bet is to check it at an lv store as im not 100% sure either

Iguess I never thought for a second it might be fake as he has his owncollection of LV and Gucci shoes that I can vouch for and was superpressed to get the messenger, but I wasn't around when he bought it soidk. I asked the customer service rep about taking it into a store tosee if it's legit after reading a few of you all's post andsurprisingly the dude I spoke to said "that's not a service we provideand honestly they may not be able to tell" I scratched my head on that, how wouldn't the SA's be able to tell the real from the fake? As forthe lining up up in arms about that, after talking to the SA, firsttime I called she was like if he bought in NY like he said he did, itmight of been part of collection that was for a specific run, secondtime I called and spoke to the dude, he said every season they changesomething so it's hard to say and since LV doesn't have sales hecould've bought it in Sept 09, but it could've been a 08 bag. Then hemade it even more confusing saying you know the Damier has been aroundsince like 1888 and jokingly added I would imagine the designs anddetails would have to changebutwith all that said, giving the bag back seems like the easiest thing todo. Hell I've been without my money for this long what awhile longeruntil he sells it
bag is bang bang -
and LV doesnt want to be in the business of taking responsibility for 2nd hand purchases...wheres the value in that? First off they want you to buy it from them as you see they are the only supplier...and 2nd with how good some fakes are why would they want to take the chance and have to train all the SAs to tell people whats what- then be liable when somebody finds out the SA was wrong-

I guess that's the thing I don't get the people who are willing to pay 200-300 for something they know is fake. At least the 30-50 dollar person is like I know it's fake but if you don't know me you'll think it's real. Now I tell chicks all the time, I'd personally rather you have a Coach bag with LV money inside than A LV bag with Old Navy money inside lol.Originally Posted by RFX45
There are certainly well made fakes out there, from bags to watches.
You can buy a crappy fake for $30-$50 at China Town or a $200-$300 well made w/ real leather fake online that not many can tell the difference.
definitely and thats the logic people should go by, but sadly its not. I buy this stuff with extra play money. I won't dabble into emergency funds or do pay check to pay check just to look fly. If I don't got it, I'll just go shopping at target or some cheaper alternative. Nothing wrong at all.Originally Posted by Solini
