Aikman pretty much regurgitated exactly what @itsaboutthattime and a few others have been saying for a while. Until this team gets a franchise QB, it really doesn't matter.

Defense fell apart the second Jordan Hicks went down.
I think we have talent just not game changing talent like we had with a guy like Desean. Matthews talent isn't hardly shown running crossing routes for an entire game. Anyone can do that except an old fart like Miles Austin. Chip had the opportunity to pick EVERY guy he wanted last offseason and whiffed tremendously. You think Michael Crabtree couldn't have helped this team? He was a top draft pick his talent was always there just Chip needed his "character guys" in the locker room so he signs Miles ******* Austin.
Chip sounded completely done in that press conference. Not a shred of arrogance left, maybe that will humble him but I doubt it. No matter what he wins in all this, if he's fired he'll walk into a great college gig. If he gets one last year here he's still getting paid well. I just don't see him being the type of guy who can deal with this city for another season.

except at the most important position..
we have pieces.. but our defensive coordinator is an idiot and doesn't cover for our glaring issues in the secondary.. and we need depth all over the Oline and at least one new starting guard

i just think it's a terrible situation for the defense.. we aren't doing enough to help our secondary out situationally..
but they also been put in a terrible position by the offense with the turnovers and the constant 3 and outs.. kinda hard to be overly motivated when you know your QBs are going to screw things up.. and if they don't then guys will drop passes and/or at worse cause the turnover

I had to pickup family at the airport so I didn't see much of the game.
I really can't believe how bad Chip is failing on EVERY level. There isn't a bright spot on this squad at the moment.
