If Chip thinks MM8 is his Aaron Rodgers, you guys don't want that because we have to give up some picks and Cox and Kendricks?

Kendricks is on his way out regardless, that's apparent. I might not like it but it's reality.

I'm in, 54 years of no Super Bowls. I don't wanna be my dad who still has yet to see one is 54 years old himself.

Curry, kendricks and Boykin are the guys I'm most comfortable with trading..

As I literally mentioned maybe a page ago, cox is special and that would hurt

But as I also mentioned, without a QB our ceiling is low.. As we should be well aware, given we had the single greatest defense ever for a season (look up the 91 team) and finished 10-6 and out of the playoffs

In an ideal world, Cox is worth the #2 pick by himself. I'd be ok with trading Cox but I'd rather package Boykin, Kendricks and Curry first....and Riley for free

I mean look at the seahawks... shouldve been b2b champs and will be around for years to come, and their franchise qb is wilson. Our defense is looking great and we're a few pieces away from being one of the elite defenses in the league. Now if you think mm8 is some type of franchise qb idk what made you think that watching him play at oregon :{

100%. My definition of franchise qb might vary from the common perception tho lol. I define franchise qb as a guy who will keep your team relevant no matter the circumstances. Peyton, Brady, Brees, Rodgers, soon to be luck. That's it. I really don't see Mariota hitting that category.

I get you might not think he is going to be a franchise QB but you just discredited his entire career at Oregon

I just said idk how you see him as a franchise qb from what he did at oregon. Nothing away from his college career, I just dont see him transfering into an elite nfl qb based off of what I saw at Oregon

fair enough

I think the kid is going to be an elite QB in this league so that is why I am on board with doing what is necessary to get him

otherwise it's Bradford and possibly a shot in the dark on someone like Petty or Hundley

Difference is you strike out on Hundley or Bradford then ok...go get your QB next year

Strike on MM8 that sets us back 5 years

who is your QB next year?

you win 9-10 games with Bradford and you are drafting in the back of the draft again

you want to get Connor Cook or someone with the 20-30th pick?

Draft Hundley in the 2nd to groom and roll with bradford.. Cut Tebow and Barkley

you do that trade up there who are your Defensive Lineman ? Who replace Peters ? When do we get an impact #1 receiver ? When do we get a Safety ? Without Flex and Curry getting pressure is  Maxwell worth the 60 million ? Who's the 2nd Corner ? Who's our other safety ?

We going address al that in Free Agency ? or is MM8 enough to off set all of the holes i Jus mentioned ?

you replace as you go in the coming years, Hundley sucks up the joint and Bradford gets hurt again then what happens? we do this all over again.

Aaron Rodgers has sure made GB a contender every year but take him away and that team is picking in the top 10 most years.

Rodgers is a crazy comp u know that ..dude sat for 3 years and was groomed

RG3 is a much more reasonable comparison for the situations.  You and I both know that aint no team ever been successful without having their own homegrown players in position..ypu don't win through FA you do it through the draft.

and guess what ? If we do this all over again we do it with a Defense in place ..not a stripped and bare roster with no coach. If we go all in for Mariota then we have to hit on everything from now on out ...there is no margin for error. cause Chip will bounce...our fans will revolt

there are plenty of good defenses that don't do anything because they don't have a QB

Rodgers was home grown but isn't MM8 pretty much home grown too? I dunno I just think you go all in and get him

you can still win through the draft if you trade for MM8 because you are giving up a couple picks and players, I'm not afraid to take this risk

All facts right here, I know a lot of you want MM8 but we gotta be realistic too.

I'm willing to do #20, Bradford, and next years 1st to trade up, that better than the Browns offer of #12 & #19.

so we don't get MM8 then you are basically saying Bradford can win a SB with this defense

if Bradford is the starting QB here, he is getting an extension before the year starts

I just have trouble believing Bradford can stay healthy, so I'm not even trying to put too much faith in that.. just setting myself up to get disappointed

again.. I would be willing to do three 1sts round picks..

then I am calling the browns quickly to try and get that 1st from them that they had previously offered for bradford

curry has more value to a 4-3 team than he does to us, simply because he can be a 3 down player for them (instead of just a situational pass rusher for us).. kendricks I can live with because he has to get paid after this season (which means 7-8 mill per).. and boykin also has to be paid and the team clearly doesn't think THAT highly of him

Boykin has little value, he wasn't very good last year

Cox has the most value of anyone mentioned, Curry is good but he's a part time player in this defense, Kendricks I love but it's pretty much a foregone conclusion he is not coming back

you don't set yourself back like you used to in the NFL because 1st round picks no longer get the outrageous contracts they once did with the new agreement a few years back

You don't create a million holes to fill one ..and lets be real here Mariota is good but y'all putting him in the Andrew Luck Peyton Manning John Elway can't miss levels of prospect.

I get he's a fit for the offense but still
