For a while? Like what as far back as 2008 when the CDP came out? I don't remember these being called the bugs bunnies back in 2003, but then again, back then there were no hypebeast, or nickname fairies.

well i guess that depends on where ur from huh? i also know this pair to be bugs and in 2003 stuff def had nicknames columbia playoff space jam concord all the 11s have nicknames and so do must jays noone wants to say the colorway everytime they mention a shoe...nicknames have been used for awhile bud

No denying that "bud", but back then they didn't try to hard to make a nickname stick. We just went by the colorways, now people relate the shoes to movies, (obviously with the exception of Space Jam) events, and who was wearing them. But that's cool, doesn't bother me at all, just sounds so foolish, just like the "He Got Games" as if every release demands a nickname or relies on one.

But enough of nickname banter.

These OG White/Red 8's are looking real good.

It's always good to give our opinions on it, doesn't have to get ugly just a decent debate. That's what this forum is all about.

Just don't call these the White/Red Aquas

Damn, French, I thought you were an old head. At least in NY, these have been called the Bugs Bunnies since the early 90's. Internet wasnt readily available so couldn't look up the pic or commercial of Bugs in the 8's.

And I'm not that old. Lol. I was in elementary when the OG's dropped, those Nike/looney toon commercials was the only info I had as far as releases.
