i have to start watching this show... been hearing a lot about it since season 1 dropped a while back.

The Piper slander shan't be tolerated brethren. Nobody wants to watch back stories to Crazy Eyes weird ***. Story flowed smoother when she was the focus. However the decision she made in the last episode kinda bothers me.

The flow was fine adding depth to the characters with back stories is necessary to show how they got there just like with Piper.

All she does is whine and is constantly conflicted over obvious things. Her life revolves around what other people are doing then she mulls it over and reacts. Rinse and repeat.

At least Nancy was better to look at.

Who would've thought Miss Rosa was spanish , if it wasn't for that flashback I thought she was russian

100% agree with the russian part, I didn't think she was Spanish at all based on her accent. It was pretty cool to see her story when she was younger and the last "job" she pulled with that kid in the hospital was hilarious!

Piper is a ******* mess, her constant internal conflict and confusion is annoying man. then she tries to mask it under that "I'm a good, intelligent person" routine. She's the worst kind because she'll trick you into having faith in her.

Edit: well the last line is Key, that firstline is eh: Piper is cool, she just can't run the whole show

The show doesn't have to have the entire plot revolve around her, but it's better IMO when it's centered around her like first season. They probably should've picked two characters, and focused on them to fully flesh them out. The half-***** flashbacks did little for me.

I thought the first season's flashbacks were better imo. Really enjoyed this season, though.

Thought Vee was one of the best TV villains in a really long time.

Hella dirty. Feel bad for Crazy Eyes every episode. Seems like nothing ever goes right for her.

Didn't like Vee at all. She brought nothing new to the villain archetype. She was ruthless, manipulative, resourceful, and conniving. We've seen that role countless times and done so much better. I didn't think there was anything special about her portrayal at all.

All in all, I enjoyed the season as a whole. Although, I found some of the subplots to be unnecessary towards the show development. The funeral/wedding, Figs husband being gay, the "courtship" of Larry and Polly, Mendez coming back just to get arrested.

Everything that went down would have still went down if these things didn't happen. Truthfully, the whole furlough storyline was kind of pointless.

Damn, I knew Crazy Eyes back story was gonna be sad but some of that was straight up heartbreaking.

As far as Piper goes. That ***** is annoying. She contains some of the qualities you simply don't like about white ppl. Like her ditziness, spoiled attitude, pampered entitled way makes me dislike her and hard to feel bad for her at times. She was a pain the whole time asking where the plane is going. Then a scene where she talks about beating the crap out of Pennsatucky opens the door for some sympathy but then the whole thing in court closes it back.

So I actually liked learning the background of the other characters. The Hatian lady, Red, Taystee, etc. It was a welcoming surprise when they started it S1 cuz I didn't expect it.

That pilot episode was unexpected. ******* everywhere in front of coworkers. The girl next to me kept staring at me the rest of the shift. Kinda like she wanted some D.
