watching tdkr for the first time since seeing it in theaters. man do i love listening to bane. got me turning up the volume in every scene he's in.
wrote a quick little blog entry about 10 of my favorite characters. really just went throuh it quickly so i missed some for sure

10 Great Movie Characters
I'm watching The Dark Knight Rises for the first time since catching it in theaters at the Arclight in Hollywood, and I decided to compile this quick list. Characters are in no particular order:
1 - Bane - between his voice, his menace, and the dialogue written for him, Bane is by far one of the few character I need to max the volume out on.
2 -Tyler Durden - what needs to be said? Brad Pitt crushed this role in the Palahniuk adaptation of Fight Club. Durden wore dope clothes, awesome shades, and had a fantastic message throughout the film.
3 - The Joker - this is in regards to Heath Ledger's version. I still find myself asking others "Why So Serious?" when the opportunity presented itself. And that laugh and "he missed" line when Batman drove past him were great. Such neurosis was needed to bring The Joker to life and unfortunately, the role consumed Ledger. But his performance, and that bank scene in the beginning, will never be forgotten.
4 - Holly Golightly - yeah, she's a fancy prostitute that is confused, lost, and lonely, but somehow, Audrey Hepburn made you sympathize with Holly's plight and her messiness throughout the film, plus her relationship with Cat, made me forget how poor of a person Golightly was.
5 - Napolean Dynamite - ok, this is really just a nostalgic choice. I mean, the movie's dumb, but it's so stupidly fun and weird that it's become an instant classic and must watch in my eyes whenever I see it on the television.
6 - Shoshanna - only in a Tarantino movie can a woman escape a Jew Hunter and eventually cross paths with him again, as well as locking a bunch of Nazis in a theater (including Hitler) and torching the damn place.
7 - David Wooderson - That's what I like about high school girls...
8 - Andy, 40 Year Old Virgin - God Bless Judd Apatow for writing that movie and creating one of the funniest characters in cinema.
9 - Ron Burgundy - When in Rome
10 - Anton Chigurh - Javier Bardem had one of the coldest performances of all time with this role. Such a vicious killer with such a unique weapon.
Honorable mention, Beaumont from Jackie Brown. Just love everything about him in the short screen time Tucker had.
Movie comes out July 26th.
Like, there were many times when I cringed, and they tried to do a lot of gross out humor. You actually see semen, her having an orgasm to Hillary Clinton's face, etc.
