So what are your favourite episodes of Inside the Actors studio with James Lipton? My brother left the TV on to Bravo with George Clooney. Never seen his and didn't know we had Bravo.

Anyway my favourites have been the Simpsons because its one of my favourites shows ever, best animated show ever in my opinion. Another was George carlin, dave Chappelle and of course when Chappelle hosted Lipton for his episode. Shame that Marlon Brando has always declined even when Lipton personally invites him year after year.

I just found out about this bit of interesting information about James Lipton today
While James Lipton is best known for hosting Bravo’s “Inside the Actors Studio,” a recent interview with Parade magazine proves there’s more to him than quizzing thespians. Specifically, he was once a pimp.

Lipton, 86, explained that in the 1950s he held that position in the Paris sex trade, thanks to a recommendation from a prostitute friend of his.

“I had to be okayed by the underworld, otherwise they would’ve found me floating in the Seine,” the host told Parade.

Lipton recalled, “It was only a few years after the war. Paris was different then, still poor. Men couldn’t get jobs and, in the male chauvinist Paris of that time, the women couldn’t get work at all. It was perfectly respectable for them to go into le milieu.”

Added the “Actors Studio” host, “The great bordellos were still flourishing in those days … I did a roaring business.”

Of his job title, which certainly has different connotations nowadays, Lipton said, “The French mecs didn’t exploit women. They represented them, like agents. And they took a cut. That’s how I lived.”

“I was going through my rites of passage, no question about it. It was a great year of my life,” he reminisced.

Yea Lipton said his pimp story during his own episode with Chappelle. Everyone was shocked/laughing that this. He also mentioned when it was time for him to leave France, the main friend and prostitute that got him in the game called him My eternal Don or Gracious king something like that but in a specific French phrase that's common for them. She offered to have sex with him but declined and said he's loved her ever since

That an was entertaining read. He didn't really sound all that crazy. Just kind of dumb when talking about patterns and being a physicist. I dunno he just sounded like a super wealthy celeb. maybe delusions of grandeur. Seems like a cool dad.Ddnt see anything insane

Just saw The Amazing Spiderman last night. Very nice.

The Matrix tonight. I swear, man... you got more than you realize riding on this, CP.

If this **** is all preachy or Keanu is all Keanu-ey... just tell me to stop now.

(I've heard it has strong Christian elements to it)

Only if you reach and look for it. I mean most chosen one stories in essence will get labeled that it has christian elements to it. It's an easy and cool thing to do by taking bible stories and adding sci-fi elements to it.

Keanu is not preachy in this at all. He is a bit Keanu-ey but there's not a lot of it and you'll be more interested by the story or distracted by the flash and style of it all.

So, I'm watching Magic Mike and it's not bad, but may be a little too stylized for me. All the filters, alternative camera angles and slow-mo was a little much.

Just saw Chernobyl Diaries....good god, I want my hour back. Thank god I didn't pay to see this crap.
Great concept, but poorly executed. The first hour and 30 mins is pure crap. Then there's the rest 30 mins of actually something going on. And out of those 30 mins its 15 running away.
Woulda been so much better if they took the Hills have Eyes approach. Especially in that setting where it's already creepy based on the location ALONE.
Had very high hopes for it. :{
Every time I saw them pile up I just wished they had a Russian dude with a RPD mowing them down :rollin , make it interesting at least .

I liked Magic Mike. Thought it was hilarious and Matthew Mc did a great job.

Damn I was hyped up about it too.
Really was hoping M.Night would come through for once :rolleyes

Now I'm considering skipping it to just see Now You See me :rolleyes

I never understood " the matrix" until I hit older and watched it while I smoked. :lol

Now I really do appreciate it. :hat

I didn't even know it was by M. Knight! Guess they tried to keep that under wraps due to his horrible track record. Looks like this movie will fit right in with the rest of the crap he's been making lately.
