There's a cruel dark joke in there but the sentiment of it is very nice.
I just found out about this bit of interesting information about James Lipton todaySo what are your favourite episodes of Inside the Actors studio with James Lipton? My brother left the TV on to Bravo with George Clooney. Never seen his and didn't know we had Bravo.
Anyway my favourites have been the Simpsons because its one of my favourites shows ever, best animated show ever in my opinion. Another was George carlin, dave Chappelle and of course when Chappelle hosted Lipton for his episode. Shame that Marlon Brando has always declined even when Lipton personally invites him year after year.
While James Lipton is best known for hosting Bravo’s “Inside the Actors Studio,” a recent interview with Parade magazine proves there’s more to him than quizzing thespians. Specifically, he was once a pimp.
Lipton, 86, explained that in the 1950s he held that position in the Paris sex trade, thanks to a recommendation from a prostitute friend of his.
“I had to be okayed by the underworld, otherwise they would’ve found me floating in the Seine,” the host told Parade.
Lipton recalled, “It was only a few years after the war. Paris was different then, still poor. Men couldn’t get jobs and, in the male chauvinist Paris of that time, the women couldn’t get work at all. It was perfectly respectable for them to go into le milieu.”
Added the “Actors Studio” host, “The great bordellos were still flourishing in those days … I did a roaring business.”
Of his job title, which certainly has different connotations nowadays, Lipton said, “The French mecs didn’t exploit women. They represented them, like agents. And they took a cut. That’s how I lived.”
“I was going through my rites of passage, no question about it. It was a great year of my life,” he reminisced.
That's awesome, Bling Ring is one of my more anticipated movies this year
Both those should be really good. Sweet deal man.
Only if you reach and look for it. I mean most chosen one stories in essence will get labeled that it has christian elements to it. It's an easy and cool thing to do by taking bible stories and adding sci-fi elements to it.Just saw The Amazing Spiderman last night. Very nice.
The Matrix tonight. I swear, man... you got more than you realize riding on this, CP. If this **** is all preachy or Keanu is all Keanu-ey... just tell me to stop now.
(I've heard it has strong Christian elements to it)
So, I'm watching Magic Mike and it's not bad, but may be a little too stylized for me. All the filters, alternative camera angles and slow-mo was a little much.
nothing but horrific reviews for After Earth as expected

Keanu is not preachy in this at all. He is a bit Keanu-ey but there's not a lot of it and you'll be more interested by the story or distracted by the flash and style of it all.
Damn I was hyped up about it too.
Really was hoping M.Night would come through for once
Now I'm considering skipping it to just see Now You See me
