Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Completely forgot Six Feet Under and Game of Thrones as well.

You're already on GoT so you know how good that is, but SFU is early HBO days.. some great television there.. one of the best ending montages ever.

I just couldn't get into SOA after the first few episodes, I liked the main character dude but everyone else was just annoying. I'll give it another shot once the whole series ends.

And the first season of the Americans just ended so it's most likely not on Netflix just yet.

was it six feet under when dude made a girl wear a bag over her head and then banged her doggie? remember it being posted on nt when that happened and laughing.

To the people who enjoyed SFU, at what episode were you hooked?

@hymen

If I remember correctly, the show creater wants to make at least 7 or 8 seasons of SOA. I could be wrong.

If so, you'd be waiting 2-3 years just to finish a show you kind of dislike.

No that was Nip/Tuck.. which was great until the the Carver storyline ended. I think the first 4 seasons were really good, then they moved to Cali. and it was just redundant and stupid. First few seasons were solid. Christian Troy will forever be a boss.

that's right nip/tuck, i forgot about that one. use to always just lump that in with 6 feet under. i owe your hymen a rep for remembering once i'm allowed.

It took me a while honesty, I got up on it after the show ended about 2-3 years ago. I always heard how good it was but never really watch it.. I think you should watch the whole first season and see if it's for you. But most people don't have time for that, so just watch the first few episodes. Sorry it's not a clear cut answer but I don't remember the series too freshly as it's been years since I caught up with it.

I thought this upcoming season was the final season of SOA, iYen? If I hear this next season is decent (I heard the last one was pretty bad) I'll get up on it. I always hear mixed reviews on it, mostly saying S2 is the best.

OZ as well is a great series.

Forgot about Friday Night Lights :hat

Anyone have a review on Rescue Me?

THanks for the info.

Nope, on wiki it says that sesason 6 has been confirmed.

I haven't even seen s5 of soa and I feel strongly that s6 will not be praised.

I found the article which states that kurt sutter wants soa to last at least 7 seasons.

OZ is the HBO OG classic :hat

Man JPZ is gonna be STACKED with TV shows, he's NEVER gonna get around to all of these lol

was FNL really that good? I saw the first few episodes and didn't like it too much. But my main reason to watch was Minka Kelly.. i'll give that another shot also.

Oz has been boring me as of late.

I'm at the part where said gets shot.

I'm starting to care less and less about how this series ends.

The prior seasons where good in terms of depicting prison life.

FNL is tremendous. Stick with it, it pays off. Solid performances and storylines from a good 8-10 actors. Really well done show.

And more importantly...

Need to finish this show, though.

Marvel and Disney negotiating with Robert Downey Jr. about Avengers 2 and 3, Iron Man 4 currently not on the table - http://wp.me/p2CCWq-2Y2
Jesus. If Joss is doing it I'll be able to tolerate, but this is just overkill of the comic craze man. :{

They need to pay that man his money and after hearing how much of a mess IM4 was just stop the series.

i really wanna know what hollywood does when these superhero movies stop drawing. do they finally innovate?

One of the best openings to anything I saw last year...and then Tom Cruise shows up. :lol A part of me really wanted variant Sidney Poitier to stay as the lead

Just watched it tonight and that's what my brother said.. that he looked a lot like him :lol

And yeah.. that opening was :eek. I would have seen it eventually, but put it to the top of my queue because of your comments. Just a solid, who/whydunit, Tom Cruise was good, nice dialogue, couple of great action sequences, sharp and clean from start to finish.

I was quite surprised.

I could see missing out on OZ. If you weren't old enough to watch it when it aired, then it's easy to forget it with all the great shows of the 2000s.

OZ is a solid show on it's own. What makes it special and I'd say a "must watch" is it was the first and without OZ, we wouldn't have the same TV landscape as we do now.

I don't know why but i tok that Butler movie as Driving Miss Daisy 2
