LOS ANGELES—Though they harbored serious reservations about his proposed ideas and considered nearly all of them to be formulaic rehashes of story elements and dialogue he’s used in his previous work, staff writers for the HBO original series The Newsroom nevertheless nodded in agreement at every horrible suggestion Aaron Sorkin made during brainstorming sessions this week, the team of terrified writers reported. “Good idea,” said the staffers who were scared to death of disagreeing with Sorkin, even though they all reportedly felt that his thoughts on season two were lame, idealistic to a nauseating extent, and basically just a way for Sorkin to use his characters to bark his clichéd platitudes at television viewers. “That’s a smart direction. I hadn’t even thought of that.” Before silently going back to work, sources confirmed that every writer in the room was privately thinking that if they only had the balls to stand up to Sorkin and fight for the fresh ideas and storytelling techniques they brought to the table they could make the show immeasurably better.

^ Aaron Sorkin was brilliant, but the drugs - hallucinogens/opiates he's taken (possibly still doing) have seemed to made him megalomaniacal. Sad. I'm hoping for the best for season 2. A lot of you guys have already jumped off the band wagon for Newsroom & Homeland. Oh well.

Anyone else tired of Tom Cruise? Will Smith for that matter? They seem to be doing the same movie over & over. Jack Reacher was serviceable & Oblivion looks like it is too, but I think it's time for those dudes to go away, especially Tom Cruise.

I'm still very excited for the 2nd season of the Newsroom, I really enjoyed S1. Homeland just puts out good entertainment each week, though last season had a lot of reaches, I still enjoyed it for what it was worth... that first season was pretty damn awesome though.

Cruise I can still sort of stand, but not too big on 'em. Smith just annoys me, his son as well.. but I kind of want to see their new movie.. ironic.

^ That's funny hymen man :lol. My 9 year old son saw a recent interview of Jaden & Willow. He liked Jaden from Karate Kid (shouldn't it have been Kung Fu Kid, but I digress) but he saw the interview & told me he didn't like Jaden anymore because he seemed really stuck up & full of himself (his words). He went on to say he just seems to be a big jerk. It's amazing a 9 year old boy can pull that all by himself from watching an interview. He's never heard me or his mother say anything cross about either kid...

:lol That's crazy because that's EXACTLY how I would describe the kid as well. I saw him on.. I think it Fallon a few years ago when he was promoting Karate Kid and he really did seem like a stuck up, too big for his own good type attitude kid.. but I guess when your dads who he is.. smh.

Will at least has some charisma when he talks, Jaden just has his nose in the air and acts like everyone should treat him like he's some sort of Superstar. Maybe I'm being too hard on the kid but after seeing 'em that one time, it just completely turned me off to him and his future movies.

He also say Tom Cruise on Fallon the other day when I was watching it from my DVR. He loves Knight & Day, but he told me Cruise looks kinda crazy. He said there was something in his eyes & the way he was looking at Jimmy that made him look crazy (again his words).... :lol @ a 9 year old that can see that...

Foxx looks like a mongoloid from some remote part on the Avatar planet...

Any suggestions on a movie like The Town?

Love that movie so much I was thinking of watching it again even though I just saw it for the second time like two days ago lol.

In addition to the ones venom lyrix mentioned (for heist or bank robbing movies), I liked The Score, The Thomas Crown Affair (old & new versions), Public Enemies, The Bank Job, & maybe 3 Kings... Also Set It Off...

Not gonna name what's been suggested so:

Ocean's 11 (OG with Sinatra and Martin)
Die Hard With A Vengeance (I know it's more action film than heist but the heist was so realistic/possible FBI questioned the writers. I always felt it was a great idea for a heist)
Snatch
Thief
The Killing
Ronin
Gambit
From Poppa Doc to Falcon, Anthony Mackie has become one of the most in demand actors in Hollywood. Mackie talks about what playing Falcon in Captain America: The Winter Soldier means to his career - http://wp.me/p2CCWq-2SO
I don't care for Mackie much. I like that a black actor is getting his due but acting wise I don't think Mackie is that good.

Should've been Derek Luke.
