Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Rankings very debatable, IMO, but I guess lists like this are supposed to be.
I counted 11.

The Godfathers, The Departed, Moonlight, Parasite, Rocky, 12 Years a Slave, Silence of the Lambs, Spotlight, One Flew Over the ****oo’s Nest (school), All Quiet on the Western Front (school)

Voyagers has just a 34% on RT out of 35 reviews so far. Didn’t think it was going to be good but wanted it to be!

Yeah.

Spotlight and Chicago ranked too high. Definitely not ahead of The Departed.

I've seen 18 of these movies.

:wow:

The entire time I thought that joint was LeBron's  Got me spreading false info :smh:

Reallllllly not a fan of this list but that’s a tough task for sure. The tendency would be to skew towards films from your favorite era.

by whatever metric they were using, Forest Gump should have been somewhere on that list. That’s the most egregious error in my opinion. No reason to leave that off, unless you already had 2 movies from the 90’s and you’re purposefully trying to make it more well rounded.

1994 was pretty controversial IMO. I thought Pulp Fiction and Shawshank were superior to Forrest Gump. Interested to see how NT ranks those three movies specifically.

Definitely got Shawshank over Gump.

I'm admittedly playing favorites putting Pulp over Gump.

I was just thinking reading his post that I think Catch Me If You Can (random choice just thinking of Hanks) is the better movie and that didn't even get nominated for best picture.
IDK, IDK, IDK!

Smoking Aces was a great watch!

Think you mean IDC cuz IDK means I don't know.

In 2021, I have them Shawshank, Pulp, then Gump.

But in 1994, I had Gump first. I got to see it at a special screening on the studio lot. Huge screen, amazing sound. It was an amazing experience at the time. The scope of the story, the use of real historical footage. Just seemed like something different and really well done. Some of those aspects have lost their impact over time to me.

Forgot the username but son that posts here with the bald Trump in a prison jumpsuit is like NT Primo Sparazza. Son started complaining about trolling then became the troll, probably doesn't even remember a time before that.

My brain is so weird, I'll remember the name of this 15 year old character but not a screenname I saw today.

Lol I know random names in movies too like Marion Cobretti.

Joan Cusack should have won Best Supporting Actress for School of Rock.
