Also, was Watchmen hated on because it was super long? Could it have been any shorter in truth?

Most say it was made to look cool and not actually convey the message the comic was trying to have. Like if you don't have a huge hard-on for the comic and the history of why the comic is important and all the studies about the themes, you can love the movie. I like it but I can separate the book from the movie.

So this season of Shooter will be my last. Its been like Dragonball Z where one fight takes up 4-5 episodes. It’s been labor to get through episodes for me... Really really hate the redneck name for the lead character to. It’s not respectable...

Most of the story line was unessecary to me & dragged on way too long. They had one idea & stretche me it across the whole season. It was like hearing the first bars of the guitar solo to Hotel California over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over& over & over again.

If I heard the name bob lee again I might scream or vomit. No grown man should be called bob lee.

This show is really just a one note show & it deserves to be canceled.

As for the show though, I still font get the criticism. S1 was about Bob Lee clearing his name after being framed for an assassination. The entire season. S2 was all about the fall out and Solotov going after Bob Lee and Isaac off something they did when they served and heroin which introduced Atlas. That season got cut shirt due to Ryan's injury.

S3 is all about some Atlas conspiracy and the revelations of Bob Lee's father's murder/assassination by Atlas. Its remained consistent. I don't see it as one idea stretched out given the roll out of discoverng Atlas is a real thing, their plans, and other ops.

That part of the show has worked like a political action thriller.

Slightly reminds me of Prison Break just with former soldiers/Gov. agents instead of convicts.

Seems like we've been watching different seasons.

The first bars of the guita in Hotel California are great.

Didn’t remember it being that bad

The stories lines have been convaluted & really could’ve been chopped down to 7 eps or so but for me they dragged everything out. For example, it took like 6 eps to find out about the dad & that should’ve been done in 1 or 2 eps at most. Way too drawn out.

Watching the Tom Cruise Mummy right now. So far it’s SUPER dark. Yo they did my boy Jake Johnson dirty, I thought I’d be watching a buddy buddy action flick for 2 hours

Anyways, it’s keeping my attention so far, I can’t really tell how good or bad it is yet. Will report back.

Tom Cruise flicks of the last 10-15 yrs have been serviceable flicks especially if you catch them on cable.

The Mummy was ok but they didn’t really flesh out the universe to well & Cruise’s character is supposed to be like a Han Solo kind of scoundrel but he doesn’t rally pull it off well.

Kind of a subpar attempt to relaunch old school Hollywood creatures & monsters.

Even when it released and I was a tapered Levi guy while everyone was on baggy denim with Racecar Driver type shoes I still thought it was clean and simply fresh.

I remember thinking the same when I first saw this.

It gives off the look of an action flick centered around monsters but nope this is some grim and dark **** that's pretty heavy

Then they try to switch to lighter stuff in between.

maybe im just a pessimistic p****k but it bugs me when great shows wrap up too neatly (bb, true detective s1) (less so for bb that final ep gets me so hype)

like im glad marty and rust finally nab the yk but both of them get most likely mortal wounds in the middle of nowhere butmake it out and then it ends w/ a guy who's been a realist/negative the whole show delivering a soliloquy about positivity? foh
