Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Yesterday, I watched Erase. Japanese show about a manga writer who can travel back in time. That was dope. First show I binged in a day in a long time. 8/9

Today, I got instantly hooked on this korean show called Strong Girl Song Boon. Hilarious show about a petite girl with super strength. I wish I wasn't working today cuz I would've binged that too. First ep 9/9

Julie Bowen is so hot.
I remember seeing her on Talking Dead and was like, meh....she's way way way too much.
.......but I just saw her on $100k Pyramid and damn, her energy is kind of sexy man.

I bet she's a good lay.
I'd marry her.
I think I'm pushing close to 10 Women, that'd I'd do that with, now.
Time to make a list.

Just finished Hereditary. A24 has some good films under their belt.

The casting was perfect in this movie. This actors portraying that creepy family really sold the story. The tone, colors, and scenery were great too. I enjoyed it. 6/8

My only real complaint is it ran a little longer than it should have. Some scenes REALLY dragged on an unnecessary amount, and made the movie longer than needed imo. Like, Jesus get to the point already.

Just watched a movie called "Extinction" starring Michael Pena, it was really good

Also watched a movie called "Disconnect" featuring Jason Bateman, it reminded me of "Crash", I'd highly recommend giving it a watch.

So I'm seeing the buzz about Crazy Rich Asians, from here as well. Psk got me interested in it to be honest but anywayz.......

I'll go for the classic HS coming of age movie. i see a trailer for one on netflix, starring an asian girl, as im watching it recently tell me why they had to play into the "Asians are terrible at driving" meme and made it so her white boyfriend drove for her and her little sister every day to and from school as part of the deal?:smh:

I just watched that movie a couple nights ago lol I thought it was going to have a 13 Reasons Why type plot but still was a good movie for what it was imo

I was NEVER going to watch TAG unless I got cornered into it on a SUnday lazy day or something.
I put it on the streamer the other night as I was getting in bed.
Man, I would have paid theatre money for this.
Surprisingly impressed.

Movie was good until Hawkeye started doing Hawkeye things

I haven’t actually finished it yet.
Fell asleep.
Will finish it if I don’t fall asleep on POWER

Well Ocean's 8 was boring and pointless, what a waste of a cast. It never felt dangerous, nor were the extra steps in the heist necessary.

I feel like that was the point though. Some scenes do go on uncomfortably long to really drive in the living hell the family, especially the mom, was going through after what happens in the movie.

I think the director really just wanted to make a family drama, but wrapped a horror movie around it to make it more sellable

Top 2 of the year for me though :pimp:

Good point actually. Some of those long scenes really gave the actors a chance to shine (especially the mom).

Sometimes it just felt awkward though :lol I guess that was my apprehension saying "ok, we know what's coming next...let's get to it and move on, please." Lol but yeah great film.

Does this man ever get a break?

He's also doing a continuation of Big Trouble In Little China. His production company said it's not a remake (thankfully) but a continuation of the story... BTILC is an underrated 80s movie IMO. Doesn't get mentioned like others from that era like a John Hughes movie or Back To The Future & such...

Damn, The Rock’s Kamehameha flick is being directed by Robert Zemeckis with a script by dude that wrote Mel Gibson’s Braveheart.
