Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

^ Wow, that director is on a roll. Argo + The Town + Live By Night?

Wonder what he'll direct next?
+ Gone Baby Gone. Affleck done miracles turning his career around. Almost any time he's mentioned in a project now, I'll give it some attention.

I really hope everyone on here has seen Last of the Mohicans and In the Name of the Father, as they are two of my favorite DDL movies. He's brilliant in both, obviously, in two very different roles. But they're both just great movies all the way around.

Queen of the South is so LIT!

There was a time I thought they were gonna make it easy for Teresa and her rise would be quick but they're really putting her through the ringer. She ain't gonna be on the come up until S3 at this pace.

film that Paul Thomas Anderson wrote and will direct, re-teaming him with There Will Be Blood star Daniel Day Lewis
All I Need to read. I was in after PTA.

Watched Walk Hard - The Dewey Cox Story last night for the first time since it came out originally. Did not appreciate it enough back then. **** is hilarious and the songs are genius.

In on Gold. Hell yeah I'm in.

Interesting, this Edgar Ramirez....I watched new Point Break last week. Meh. But he played Bodie, thought he was solid. Then heard him on Dan Patrick hyping Hands of Stone, I'm interested. Then find out he's in The Woman on the Train, intriguing. Now Gold. Dude is suddenly everywhere. And appears to be picking decent projects, tho not huge roles just yet. But good variety of work so far, curious where he goes.

As for the new Affleck.....man, some kinda roll since Gone Baby Gone

Gone Baby Gone
The Town
Argo
The Company Men
Runner Runner (nobody bats 1.000)
Gone Girl
Bat-Supes
Suicide Squad
The Accountant
Live By Night
Justice League
Batman solo film

Holy **** :eek

Watching Up in the Air and man, what happen to Jason Reitman? He was on a roll with Thank You for Smoking, Juno, and Up in the Air but I haven't watched anything from him since Young Adult which was only aight and 5 years ago now. Hope he finds his groove again

wanted lena dunham to get girl on the train , emily blunt is too fine for how the book described the character to be .

Dunham made a fool of herself because OBJ had no clue who she was

I had no clue about it.. But read a story today breaking down the whole thing.. Hilarious

Repped for finally keepin it 100 about Runner Runner not being a good movie :lol :p

But yeah, in all seriousness. Dude is on one hell of a run. :smokin

I liked Runner Runner, but I understand a lot of people didn't. It was a background noise movie for me, like watching Road House, or Predator, etc.

man i can dig background noise movies.
Do you know how many times ive seen the original STEP UP, or Stomp The Yard, or Bring it On, etc...
Anytime they are on TNT or whatever i just leave it on and make dinner. Seen them 100x.
I know those aint oscar contenders :lol

I just meant it was a big of a momentum stopper for Afleck. Hes obviously not trying to make background noise movies which was my point, so it was a dud for him IMO.

But yeah, obviously entertainment wise it gets the job done for when you dont got much to do.

Did you just list Predator in the same tier as Runner Runner and Road House? What tf?

Movies I've seen 1,000 times is not a tier or a comparison of quality.

It's, movies I've seen 1,000 times.

Thank you for clarifying. I thought you meant Predator was same quality as those other 2; one which is just bad, and one which is fun 80's throwaway action bad. Almost had me thinking you really were going senile.
