Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

The only bad thing I have to say about that Godzilla trailer is I HATE the way he sounds. Sounds so artificial. That said, I'm about as stoked as can be for a new Big G film. :hat

I mean End of March till August is looking AMAZING.

The Raid 2: Berandal (March 28)
Captain America: The Winter Soldier (April 4)
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (May 2)
Godzilla (May 16)
X-Men: Days of Future Past (May 23)
Edge of Tomorrow (June 6)
Transformers: Age of Extinction (June 27)
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (July 11)
Guardians of the Galaxy (August 1)

And to end the summer perfectly...

August 15th... The Expendables 3. :hat :hat :hat

And about Gravity? If you didn't see it in theaters, don't bother.

A new Ninja Turtles, Interstellar, Hunger Games, Sin City 2, Need for Speed all in this year as well.

And this is a SLOW year compared to what will surely decimate all our wallets next year. :hat

Working from home, waiting for Champions League football to come up. Settled on having Erin Brockovich on while working & waiting for the game. What a solid movie. If this was in the hands of another director or cast, this movie would've been garbage. In addition to Julia Robert's performance, Albert Finney was superb...

Can't wait to see Interstellar

Nolan God :hat :hat

McConaughey going to keep this run going

Jessica Chastain could have all my children

LOVE that film. Julia, Finney and also Harvey Dent were all terrific.

Really? The weird looking dude from Girls? The early casting news for the next SW movie does not have me too excited. I'll keep an open mind though.

I'm sure with some face paint and exotic alien appendages he can look like a scary dark side villain.

At least he didn't end up Lex Luthor :lol

Dude, he's a very good actor. But i agree. Lena dunham on the other hand is the most overrated actress in hollywood. She's the worst actress on Girls and its her own show!

She better not be playing Lukes daughter (as rumored)

She's not really an actress. She's a writer that wrote herself in to the show. From one view you gotta give props.

Girls and Inside Llewyn Davis actor Adam Driver is headed to the dark side.

Variety reports that Driver is near a deal to play the unnamed villain in Star Wars: Episode VII.

"Exact details are unknown, but the character is said to be in the vein of iconic Star Wars villain Darth Vader," the trade claims.

I do, but she really needs to stop taking her clothes off. The point has been made. Its overkill now.

I respect her from that standpoint. I really do. She's a talented writer. Girls is a very well written show imo. It's just the media praising her as an actress is overkill imo.

I've tried watching Girls multiple times and I don't see what the praise is about.

Don't get me wrong, she sucks at acting. It's part of why I don't really watch the show.

I can't get into it either. Nothing about it resonates with me for some reason.

My wife loved the 1st season, but hasn't liked the second nearly as much.

Girls 2nd season was so hit and miss, and made me hate everyone except the dudes so much, that I was just about done. I caught the first 2 eps of this season, cuz they were just there....and they were so good. I'm caught up. This season's just about been everything I hoped the show could be, since it seems like they're fully aware that all the girls are the worst in one way or another.

And it's just about the funniest and most consistent the show's ever been. A couple episodes last season were the best the show has done, but this is the best straight run it's had. Everyone's killing it, and every episode someone or something dumps on Hannah. It's weird, actually looking forward to the show now.

sidebar: Keith Olbermann's show on ESPN is the greatest thing to happen to late night TV since The Colbert Report.

Empire is a solid movie zine however keep in mind it's a Brit publication so some might not like that Brit sensibility...

I'm not sure how anyone could sit through girls. It's a story about narcissistic self absorbed people with first world problems. I tried watching it & was bored to pieces. Felt like I was watching someone pick their nose & eating the bogeys...

Aside from ESPN FC & a 30 For 30 here & there, I haven't watched other espn programming in years...

Finally saw Gravity earlier today. Visuals were nice, but the movie itself...

About an hour into the movie I was sick of Bullock; I almost turned it off and didn't care if she lived or died.

The howling/barking scene :x
