Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

NY Daily News gave Ender's Game zero stars :lol . Granted, it's a newspaper review, but still...

strictly for James Deen :evil :hat

YOOOOO!

Lohan and Deen?

:evil

Man if there was a sex scene I'm sure I've would of heard about it and it would be all over the media.

I see the commercial for Ender's Game and nothing about it seems worth watching to me.

You'd think I feel differently with the cast.

I have a feeling that it will be a commercial bust. If you didn't read the book, then it'll be hard for newcomers to like it.
Makes sense. I read what it's about and it didn't make me want to read the book. I can see how it's a book fan driven movie trying to bank off that trend that Potter, GoT, and other books managed to succeed with.

Yo SF Chronicle over here is notorious for hating EVERYTHING. we have a similar 0-5 rating with a picture of a cartoon man sitting in a chair, from either not there at all (0) to jumping up and down (5), its a god send if you see a dude in the chair looking out, the hatred of the critics really depends on where you live

i was just about to watch that but the trailer turned me away.. looks pretty dumb and I'm a huge Aubrey fan.
nostalgia trip , very well executed movie...alot of situational comedy...probably the closest

thing to american pie...audrey plaza is great in it...my dude andy samberg plays and eddie vedder wannabe..

good watch from start to finish , with a few laugh out loud moments..

ERRRRRRRRRR!

Nobody in the DFW is playing Dallas Buyers Club. :{

Not even The Angelika :{

Check out The Cure.

5/5

tears will be had

If anyone knows of more movies that are similar to this, let me know.

I just finished The To Do List......not really sure what to say about this movie

watched Frances Ha, it was pretty good for what it's worth. It reminded me a lot of the TV show Girls. Maybe cuz the dude Adam from Girls was in it, but it had the same background story to it. College grad girl still acts like a kid and is finding her way through life, I guess if you enjoy the show you should give it a go.

Ender's Game was amazing. It's my favorite novel, and it's fantastic how they brought it to life.

Remember, Bean isn't as fleshed out in Game, it's the Shadow series that follows his character.

Just finished watching Girl Most Likely today. Thought it was good and worth watching. Good story and had some funny scenes.

Saw 12 Years A Slave last night.

The acting was on point. There were some really rough scenes and I thought the material was handled well.

Of the performances I've seen so far Chiwetel Ejiofor & Matthew McConaughey (Dallas Buyers Club) should be major contenders for a Oscar.

Michael B Jordan should at least be nominated (maybe even win). I also really liked Miles Teller in The Spectacular Now but not sure the movie or Miles would get consideration.

I would like to see Robert Redford in All Is Lost especially since director/writer J.C. Chandor (Margin Called) wrote & directed it, but I'm going to wait till it's released on VOD to see...

There were tons of awesome things about Ender's Game, including Asa with another top-notch performance. The one thing I was disappointed by was the lack of character development in his peers. Bean seems like he was casted perfectly, but still didn't see enough of him.

This is the first book-to-film I've actually seen where I read the book first. I see where people gripe about adaptations, but it was so nice seeing Card's imagination brought to life.
DOPE movie.  Dude quarterbacked that **** like Peyton Manning.  I'll probably see it again

psk2310, how was Dallas Buyers Club? I'm hoping to see it this week, been eager for it for months.

Oh, and I just wanted to leave this here. Thought Amber from Clueless looked like Ben Affleck.

That's all...
